I purchased a Mach E last night and am going back today to pick it up. He said Ford has to give me the $100 ADA credit for the software available this fall. He didn't have me sign the notice about it there either. Are they still giving this $100 credit? If so, who delivers the $100 to me; dealer or Ford? He did not give me a letter for the IRS $7500 tax credit either. Who gives me that letter; dealer or Ford? When do the 22,000 Rewards Points show up in my Rewards App? When/how does the 250 kWh of electricity show up and where?

It would be nice if I had definitive answers before I see him at noon. Thanks.

Mine was taken directly off the purchase contract. Easy, peasy. I think this how Ford intended it to happen, but there’s a bit of variability across dealers it seems. I would press to get it now before you drive off. Ford likely has no mechanism to cut you a check.

How about the IRS letter for the $7500 credit?

The ADA prep kit incentive can be processed at your dealer and included in your deal. It has to be a Mach-E that has the active drive assist hardware in it.

Your dealer and Ford aren't involved in the $7500 federal credit. You'll add the form for that credit to your federal taxes when you file them next year.

The 22,000 points show up shortly after you've activated FordPass Charging Network, I think. It might be about a week or so after that.

The extra 250 kWh of EA charging is only for people who reserved the vehicle and received an email from Ford stating that they'd receive this benefit for that specific reserved vehicle.

Thanks. Not talking about extra 250 kW just the basic 250 kW with the sale of the car. I also read there was a letter to IRS vouching that I had purchased a BEV.

Apologies, I misread your question.

Everyone gets 250 kWh of EA charge credit with new purchase. It shows up on your Connected Services page within days of activating the vehicle in FordPass and activating the FPCN.

Thanks. But you're sure about that letter? I read you need to submit that with the tax form.

I'd recommend looking for the tax form and reading its instructions to verify.
I just did and we need a certification letter to go with Form 8936. Called a "Content of Certification" letter. It does sort of sound like Ford submits this letter to the IRS though. I'll ask my accountant.

Correct - the certification is between Ford and the IRS. It's basically by model, not for each car manufactured.

There is no letter for the federal tax credit. You just claim it on your taxes. If they need to verify through an audit they would just need proof of when you bought the car and if you still owned it
