Is it a Ford?

It struck me today that now that I am rejoining the Ford car family after 40 some years away that I do not see the blue oval Ford emblem or for that matter the word Ford anywhere on the exterior or interior of the Mach-E photos. Every Ford car or truck I see on the street has the Ford emblem somewhere. Am I missing something?

That's on purpose. Ford is leaning into the Mustang name with the Mach-E.

The 2020 Mustang doesn't have any Ford nomenclature on it either. But it's still a Ford.

I never noticed before, but my 2015 mustang doesn't say Ford on it anywhere either.

We shouldn't confuse jewelry/badging with the actual brand of the vehicle as certified. The registration will show Ford as the brand and some version of Mustang/Mustang Mach E/Mach E as the model.

I was watching a documentary a couple of years ago on the Mustang, and they pointed out that this isn't an accident or something, it's a very deliberate choice around the branding. They actually said there are no "Ford" indicators at all but as was said above, that's not 100% true. It's close, though. That dates all the way back to the 1965 1/2.

It hadn't occurred to me until I saw that documentary that my 1995 GT had very little Ford branding but looking back... it had very little. Even the keyless entry keyfobs had little Mustang horses on them instead of the Ford blue oval.
