Never had a problem with mine in 15 months of ownership, but I stay away from those auto brush car wash places.

same here, two years, no issues. I'm very careful when I dry the car after a wash as hooking the towels could definitely cause a problem, but that's with every car I've owned for the last 40 years or so

I'm a bit OCD but I used a detail brush to wash around my emblems. My microfiber mit will snag on the X every time but I've managed to keep it intact.
