Yes big difference in PA Super off peak 11 pm to 6 am 2 cents vs peak 1 pm to 9 pm. 9 cents. I have Wallbox because Ford didn’t have any level 2 chargers available when I bought my MME last June.
Ummm, doesn’t the car come with a Level 2 EVSE?

I clearly have so much to learn! I thought that you COULD set charging schedules with the Ford provided charger and Ford Pass. We do have time of use charges/rates for electricity so I will definitely need to be able to program.
you can it works well

Delirious or not, the car has always charged seamless for me, in fact I am in Mexico watching my dealer plug it in today from the app. I texted the service department thanking them for plugging it in at 8:15 am today, and he laughed back saying he knew I would be wathing. I am 2500 Miles away in Mexico, and I know when my dealer plugged it in, what status of battery is, how many KV went in battery, and I turned off charging myself from my app when battery hit 90%. Then I locked the doors. If I can do all that from Mexico, and cant even program a remote for a tv, I am not sure what that says about your abilities with an app. LOL> serious, no offense, but mine works well, and I suck at IT, I have employees set up new phones for me, and I got this thing going by myself. However mine is an October build. But I will say, I am pretty relaxed on things like this, knowing it is a new product and I signed up to be a crash dummy buying on first model year.

I have never had an issue or know anything about Ford servers, I just use the car and the app when I want and it works.
That's quite amazing. If you peruse threads on here, you'll see people who try to open FordPass and it just spins, or they can't get it to update from the date prior, or it drains their phone quickly, ... Literally dozens of threads on the issues with FordPass.

I just opened FordPass and it went from 23 hours ago to 5 hours ago as I opened it. If I hit refresh, nothing changes. And, whenever I open it, it tends to start my car charging, which runs for maybe 10 seconds, because the car woke up.

Sounds like some cars are struggling, but mine has pretty much been seamless, I have an Iphone and it is a 12 i think. pretty seamless.

Put in a 240 outlet and plug in the portable charger, works great and no strong reason to spend money on a charging box. When I make multi day trips I simply pull it off the wall and place it in the cubby hole. Simple.

I finally broke down and purchased a second EVSE charger. Because of our experience last week when the weather was very cold and the range dropped so much I figured I DO need the Ford Mobile Charger in the car with me at all times. Even if I were to use the 110 volt adapter and charged the car for several hours at my daughter's house it would be enough to get me to a Level 2 charger in her town (Charge Pointe) or maybe even the DC charger in Aurora. I ended up buying a Mustart Travel Master 32 amp charger. It has an LED screen which shows a lot of data as to how the car is charging. It isn't a "smart" charger and doesn't connect to Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. My first choice was a Juice Box 40 amp charger but they were too expensive (the "Boss" had a fit when she saw how much they wanted) and the Mustart got decent reviews so I purchased it last night from Amazon. I also put together an emegency kit in the frunk consisting of a gallon of water, a bed pan, a bright lantern, matches, a large candle, Sterno, a blanket, 3 cans of soup, 2 cans of fruit, energy bars, toilet paper, wet wipes, disposable cups, and plastic silverware. The kit is in a cloth bag so I can move it to the Acura when needed. Now the Ford Mobile Charger will go in there as well. I feel like I'm finally using the frunk for something useful. EDIT 1-24-2022 Canceled order with Amazon this morning before unit was delivered after carefully reading the review on this EVSE. I don't want to risk having a problem; I don't like that they tell you to unplug if it is not being used; and I don't like that it is neither UL or CL certified (messaged them and asked and they replied no they aren't certified - not even Generation 2 units). I am now thinking of the Girzzl E charger that is 40,36,24 or 16 amps (set with dip switch internally) as I have a 50 amp GFCI breaker with #6 AWG hot (2) and neutral (1) wires and a #10 AWG ground (1) wire. I'll set it to 40 amp which will charge the car a little faster then the current 32 amp Ford Mobile Charger.
Final Edit (I hope) 1-30-2022: Grizzl-E came yesterday and I installed it. Ford Mobile Charger now in the car. I was not able to mount the Grizzl-E into a wooden stud like the directions called for but I used wall anchors that are supposed to hold over a thousand pounds. That and I clamped the premium cable to the wall with metal clamps so there will not be any strain on the unit from pulling the 24 foot cord. Taped the cable to the garage floor in front of the freezer and down the garage floor alongside the car. There I placed the Grizzle-E holster for the charging connector. I left the mounting bracket for the Ford Mobile Charger on the wall in case I ever want to use it again should the Grizzl-E have any problems. The mobile charger case is in the back cargo area. It has a velcro strip which attaches to the carpeting on the back of the rear seat and is also strapped to the child head restraint bar with the included case strap so it won't roll around or come loose. The case is something I picked up back in March 2021 with my extra Ford Rewards points. It's semi solid and more roomy than the flimsy case the charger came in originally. I now have that space filled with my Ford first aid kit and a road hazard kit.

I bought a Nissan LEAF in 2012, and just sold it after I got my new Mach E Premium with RWD one week ago (I ordered it on May 24, 2021). I got a ChargePoint hardwired charging unit in 2012, and it was fully paid by a govt program at that time. It works seamlessly with my new Mach E. We also got the 2 Tier charging rates, so after 11 pm is when I start charging at a reduced rate.

I apologize if this has been addressed somewhere but have a question regarding the included charger that I have on a 50 amp nema 1450 outlet. It is off peak so would like it to charge the full time it is allowed which it has for 9000 miles. Now that we are hotter outside and the garage gets hotter but it is charging at night so should be a little cooler. 2-3 times it has stopped charging during the night. One evening opened the doors to cool and it charged all night. Can it get too hot and shut down? Haven't noticed before but lately have noticed an orange light on the left side of the blue light that is usually all blue on the charger. ??

Thank you all for the replies. You brought up a great point I hadn't thought about as far as having a cord while travelling. I've been working from home for 2 years now almost and kind of forget what it's like to go anywhere of a significant distance.

I wish we had rebates like that! Will definitely keep my eye out for any new incentives.

I guess I will try the OEM unit and see how that goes before making that investment.

Thanks again!
the other nice thing about a 14-50 outlet rather than hardwired charger is that you can use the outlet for other nice 240v tools, or for generator backfeed.... and the 'generator could even be your MME with a little planning and a little inverter available....

I've read so many posts on here about different charging stations people have purchased for the Mach E and it's left me with the question as to whether or not the included charger is inadequate?

I've never had an EV and am patiently awaiting the arrival of mine this spring. I have an electrician coming to wire a 240 outlet and from what I can tell the included charger will give me adequate charging speed for my needs.

Is the only reason to go buy a different type gaining visibility on power draw from my meter or what else would I be getting?

Thanks in advance!
I used the Ford charger 120vdc for over a week when I got my MME. At the end of the work week, I had to scope out free level 2s in my neighborhood. I ended up getting a Nema 14-50 receptacle, that can run my Ford charger or my 40a Grizzle E. I prefer always having a charger with me, so I keep the Ford kit in the back of the vehicle. My first real road trip in my Select, I was so wide open throttle, I got a 60% driving efficiency in FordPass, and a pull over and plug in, you will NOT make your next charging destination! I pulled into the right lane, BlueCruise engage, and limp to my destination with 14% instead of 35%. Always have a charger with you. Lol

Amber light with blue is the indication for overheating (RTFM 😄). Multiple reports of this happening even though ambient temps are not excessive. This is a warrantable failure of the FMC. Some dealers are more receptive than others regarding replacement.
