The 2024 Ranger was revealed today, and I noticed that it is running a version of Sync 4A where the app tiles have been replaced with fixed app icons that do not change based on recent use. I'd have very mixed feeling if we got this update. Losing the tile info on songs and mi/kWh would really suck, but if they added that info to the instrument cluster (like they should anyways imo) then it would be no big deal. Hopefully this icon bar is at least customizable.

I noticed no other changes from the infotainment walkthrough that I watched.

It looks narrower than the Mach E display, so putting detailed tiles there probably wouldn't fit well.

Or they could be doing something stupid, because that's never happened in the history of Sync4 :p

It is a smaller screen at 12.4 inches, but this redesigned Ranger went on sale overseas last year with the same UI we had at the time, so they have been keeping parity so far.

Eh, to each their own. I personally prefer what we've got, compared to these elephant ears
Yeah, the air outlets could be better designed, but I also prefer the display to be frenched-in. It looks like an afterthought in the MME where it could have been moulded into the dashboard and look like it belongs. ?‍♂?
