Do you use FordPass? Can you see details about your car, like tire pressure, or location?

If yes - your modem is activated.

It's nearly impossible that your modem is not activated, unless you left the dealership without setting things up. The only people that wouldn't activate a modem would be the tinfoil hat crowd, and then you can't use many features including BlueCruise.

You need to activate it IF you haven't activated it already, which is unlikely. You cannot get OTA updates without the modem being activated, nor use many features of the car.

Got the email too, but I've already had the dealer apply the BlueCruise update manually, anyway. No idea if this breaks OTAs for me again.

I can confirm that bluecruise works, and I didn't pay anything for it so far

If you received this email you’re in the next group to get Blue Cruise via OTA. When I received the EA email back in March, it was 3 to 4 weeks before I received all the updates. There are 7 OTAs and then Blue Cruise is enabled. Good luck to all.

About 20 years ago in one of my computer science for business majors classes, I learned how to use an MS Access database to filter email distributions. I’d be happy to volunteer my services to Ford. Just think - you could track things like whether BC was enabled for certain VINs, and then send emails accordingly!

Widget data also cleared 2.3.0 message and says null.
