I am on 6.7 and got the update yesterday, but I left my car running for an hour while plugged in to charge the LVB. Maybe your LVB is too low?
You never know. I have the cigarrette lighter plug in indicator and it is always in the 14 range. Worst comes to worse, I can always ask the Dealer for a favor?!?!

I have been out of town until last night. My car is likewise on 6.7.0. On my drive to the office, my car downloaded the charging OTA and asked if I wanted to update (20 minute inhibit). It’s updated now. So, apparently my 12V needed a little touch-up before it would begin its download (which is dumb since it needs the 12V SoC above the minimum to actual install). 🤷‍♂️🐩

800V is only catching up...they need to be thinking beyond 800V.

Just wondering outloud here: I have a ship date of April; but in general I'm 1-3 months behind in getting OTA's once I see them start popping up on the forum. For instance, I received 6.8.0 about 2-3 weeks ago.

Is it possible I receive the Adaptor prior to getting the OTA to use it?? Or do you think Ford will push this OTA out faster to the "herd"?
Nothing to worry about, it was confirmed that the OTA is just to enable plug in charge. If you don’t have the OTA yet you just have to use the app until plug in charge is installed.

Only this internet post which is speculating based on a Ford patent filing: https://electrek.co/2024/02/28/fords-next-gen-evs-800v-fast-charging/

According to a new Ford patent, it looks like the automaker could level the playing field with 800V fast charging for its next-gen EVs.
A lot of patents are filed that don't come to fruition. Even so, that filing doesn't mean anything about schedule or market segment.

Unless it's announced by Farley, it is all speculation that becomes fact followed by disappointment and then anger at missed "promises".

Don't worry, I'm sure Farley will announce it soon.

Mine just arrived! (I was part of the first 500 orders).

What would be nice is if we could get our VIN etched into the adapter. Won't stop a theft, but will help you get it back if found. Like they're doing with catalytic converters.

How hard would that be to do by normal folks? Can you take it some place to get it laser etched?

That's a nice touch. I like how his signature is basically him printing his name. Shows (to me at least) his engineering background - my Dad "signed" his name the same way he signed his blueprints in the '60s - printed it in all caps.

I've yet to walk away from my car at a DC station. Granted so far they've all been Walmarts.. stay safe out there.

I'm sure most won't care, but I like that they made an effort to go renewable with the cardboard box instead of a plastic shrinkwrap. Yes I know the adapter and padding are plastic, but it's still a lot less than it could be.
That's no small thing and should not be undersold. I hate plastic and Styrofoam packaging as it is largely unnecessary. Not exactly surprised given Ford's recent rankings on the purity of its supply chain. Oh so yah, I care. 😁

I also care and appreciate it. Especially having kids, I haaaaate the trend I have seen with a lot of toys on shelves being these individually plastic packaged garbage. A lot of them are these "mystery" boxes. If you don't have kids and are next in a Meijer/WalMart/Target/etc, check the kids section. Almost every major brand has a mystery box thing going, and some of these mystery boxes are a plastic box that can have 15-20 individually single-use-plastic wrapped pieces.

I look forward to a better solution than plastic in general, but I am fine with a reusable piece like the adapter itself. But when items come individually plastic wrapped without clear need, that really sucks.

It's an excellent question. I just received 6.3.0 and was wondering the same thing.
If your going by what Ford Pass is telling you, it's probably wrong. The correct level should be in the your car's own sub menus 🤔
