Le Circuit Electrique announces that they will start to install 100+ 100 kW chargers in the coming weeks, that is a very good news. Le Circuit Electrique is the main network in Quebec with 2500+ chargers including 305 L3 DCFC and deserve eastern Ontario and New Brunswick in partnership with Add Energie and New Brunswick Power. They have an excellent reputation of reliability and the new 100 kW chargers will still be built by Add Energie, who are also making the Flo X5-G5. :)

That's great news. Couple that with the Petro Canada- Canadian Tire DCFC fstations opening up all over and the promise of more Electrify Canada, and you guys will have lots of options. BC Hydro in BC has been building 50kW stations in tons of places which is great to see.

A little surprised new L3 stations would come online at just 100 kW now (let alone 50 kW). The minimum standard to get in and out in a reasonable amount of time seems like 150 kW now. And even that's slow for most ICE drivers' tastes (if trying to coax them over to BEV).

Unless of course we're talking about "park it and forget it" charging like apartment building lots, office building lots, etc. Where L2 is ideal.

I agree with you but for them I believe quantity is more important.

Not very much grocery shopping going on in the middle of a road trip, which is mostly what we're talking about for L3. Around home, most people will charge at home. Most charging will be one of those two (home L2 or road trip L3).

But yes, there's room for some exceptions sprinkled in. Like destination charging.

From the AddEnergie press release:

QUEBEC CITY, QC – OCTOBER 30, 2020 – AddEnergie Technologies Inc. (AddEnergie) is pleased to announce the first closing of its Series C financing round. The total commitments from this $53 million financing plan will enable the company to pursue its ambitious growth strategy and accelerate the expansion of FLO®, its North American electric vehicle (EV) charging network.

[...]

Despite the current pandemic, AddEnergie was able continue its progression in 2020, deploying over 11,000 charging stations in the past 12 months and expanding the FLO network to cities like Los Angeles, Cincinnati and Toronto. The company is now in a position to bring its comprehensive approach to EV charging – which includes residential, workplace, fleets, commercial, public, fast charging and more – to a growing number of markets in North America. AddEnergie will also continue its sustained investments in R&D and market development in order to maintain its leadership as a dependable, market-leading network operator, while making sure it meets the evolving needs of EV drivers in the years to come.

"We" as in most of us. You've made it clear over and over that you're an exception to the norm. Tonto.

And IVY just open their temiskaming shores (new liskeard) location. Hope the Le Circuit Electrique pop a couple of 100 KW in @ their Ottawa locations to try. Don't travel much and 50 KW will more then meet our needs when we do; but it would be cool charging at 100/150 once or twice. Both companies locals show up in the Fordpass map app.
