I'm totally excited. I keep pestering the sales manager at my dealership. He assures me I'll take delivery of a First Edition (yes carbon gray - I'm boring) in the next 10 days.

We did a quick review with Sam Abuelsamid on our Hands On Tech show (https://twit.tv/shows/hands-on-tech/episodes/121). I'll do something longer when I've had it for a bit myself.

Sam has a longer-term review unit right now. He's aware of the Android Auto issue. That's a real bummer but he seems certain an update (possibly from Google) will fix it soon. (Sam is in MI and talks with Ford PR frequently.)

And, yes, I am old.

Thanks for the reply Leo. Hopefully the Android issue gets resolved before 2023.

I get mine next week, so I am quite excited.

I hope he does read this. He could use both his clout and his technical knowledge to determine if the hardware on the MME is capable of an "upgrade" to Android Auto when it becomes available.

Good news. I spoke to Sam on today's radio show and he says Ford will push a fix for the Android Auto bootloops in the next (and first) OTA update in the next few weeks.

Hey Leo! I called into The Tech Guy last week and talked to you on air about the MachE, software in cars, etc. Just got my First Edition and it's absolutely fantastic. I had a Jaguar I-Pace before and I have to say the Mach-E is just as good in comfort, driving dynamics, fit and finish and the infotainment system is MUCH better....and with more range, all for $25k less! The seats are super comfy, and as a fellow "old man", having adjustable lumbar is sooo nice. Can't wait to hear your thoughts after you get yours.

I haven't even driven it in the daylight yet, but I already love it.

• Comfortable well-designed interior.
• The screen is great.
• One-pedal driving is just right

While the acceleration isn't quite as extreme as my old Model X's insane mode, it's plenty peppy.

So far, my early impressions of the Mach-E are "pretty pretty pretty good."

First listened to you on KGO waaaaay back longer than either of us would probably like to remember. A lot of changes in radio, how we follow you know. Tech, the Bay Area, and the cars we drive. The Mach-e is a change for the better.
