I've been keeping track of members with HVBJB (High Voltage Battery Junction Box) failures, I think it's time to share my list.

Criteria: Member has publicly stated their HVBJB has or will be replaced, or has had stuck contactor codes.

Note: Failure date is approximate based on a date or timeline they said (if present) or when they first posted about the failure. Model data is also best available.

There are likely more members that also had HVBJB failures but did not post about it, or never specifically mentioned their HVBJB was replaced. It's very possible I missed a few folks too. Some people do not say much, follow up after repair, or are not very technical to convey the parts replaced.

If you see an error or omission, my apologies, please reply or PM me with relevant info/links to source. I will try to maintain this list if possible.

Special mention to @Rabidsquirrel22 and @Mach_Enrique, who appear to have only their BECM replaced after a stop safely now error. They may have had a different failure, I would be interested in those VINs for details.

It's been a fairly steady rate of 1-3 failures per week since December, April was the worst month:

Could you update it with the “post recall” failures?

I’m convinced the failure rate is significantly higher post recall. Especially considering only a small percentage of us have had the recall done.

You can add me to the list for the “Service Vehicle Now” on July 20, 2022 and immediately too it to the dealer where it was confirmed I need the HVBJB replaced in my 2021 Select AWD. I received the OTA fix on July 13, 2022.

Add me to the list. Aug 3. Towed to the dealer and have confirmed HVBJB needs replaced. It's on back order with no ETA. Anyone have any recommendations? I have questions which I haven't seen asked or answered (forgive me if they have). Might be jumping the gun but if in shop for extended period (30+ days) does Ford cover my payment? Am I SOL with additional costs such as insurance, fuel being used in an ICE rental replacement? If there any value in trying to hunt down a HVBJB myself, I assume they are treated like pieces of gold at this point. If anyone has any additional.insight please.let me know.

That is not accurate. Most likely that was the parts systems response to the dealers order for many possible reasons, but there are at least a few parts stocked in all warehouses across the country. It should not be more than a few days for it to be delivered.

I guess it depends if you are up in Nunavut, then yeah it's gonna take some time. Otherwise maybe add a couple more days for safe measure.

Sorry to here that what model/trim you drive? How did it happen driving or just sitting there? It is warm but not super hot like I was hoping for. To answer your question maybe yes. Maybe so close to the border they can ship one up from one of their warehouses? The ford rep here appears just for US also but maybe @Ford Motor Company could help speed up part delivery?

Was at Mac for a bit rented at the base of the escarpment downtown up from the mall; good town.

12V dead and will not go in gear? Did you have the software HVJB recall done and what were the dash messages?

Software update was not done, I received the recall in the mail last Friday and this happened Wednesday. "Stop safely now" on dash with no start. Car had power.

I got it in the mail last week also. Just not enough power to boot all modules but enough to let you in and not go in gear. Only the one error message came up wonder if software has changed that as it use to be a number of them. It is hard to stop safely when parked and will not go in gear.

What were your driving/charging habits in the last while. Not saying you were doing anything wrong just a common denominator. Highway race track dcfc?
