Because I thought 10 years worth of use of a lightbulb was worth $1000? Yes.

Any other questions?

My car will be worth 1-2 grand by the time I got rid of it. Doesn’t matter if it cost me 50k or 100k. Equation doesn’t change. It’s the same thing that happens to every vehicle. Doesn’t matter if it’s a luxury car that’s loses 50% day one, or if it takes longer. You drive it…it goes down to $0 value.

But I love how you think your also a better worker and your money is uh different than mine?
I think you read way more into my snarky remark than it deserves.
But I knew the risk when I typed it. :)

It was a general statement about forums these days. This forum is far from the only one that can draw ire if someone posts how much they enjoy their vehicle and that they haven't experienced any serious issues.

Nothing in that celebration is a denial of others not having such good fortune. But some percentage of the unfortunate often take it that way.
No hard feelings lol

Seems everyone's overlooking the 50% loss of value in such a short period of time! I would think many of those who bought a 2021-2022 today may actually be upside down without even knowing it. Should be a major #1 issue but somehow everyone avoids it🤷‍♂️
That’s Schrodinger’s issue. It’s not an issue until it is.

I was reading through thr forum this morning, and it occurred to me that literally nothing discussed in the forum has ever gone wrong with my Mach e. Same with all the YouTubers. I have a theory about this. I made very few changes from the way the car was delivered. I especially wonder about the YouTubers. I think they fiddle around with and are constantly changing everything in the car. I wonder if this leads to problems? The software in these cars is crazy complex. Probably works best with a simple setup?

i would also like to note I live at 9k feet in the Colorado Rockies. I put on snow tires in the winter. This car is amazing in snow. In some situations better than my wrangler. I wonder why ford does not promote this more. I understand that they used a lot of engineering time on the topic.
You know what is really sad is that in 2024 our automotive standards have lowered to the point that if you put 24,000 miles on an automobile and have no issues it is a big deal! 😂

That is a fair point.

About to hit 20K at the two year mark and the only real issue is the rear passenger brake rotor is scored badly from when the pad got stuck.

Was told today that my '21 GT with 32K Kms (Approx 20k Miles) needs rear rotors and brakes. I exclusively use 1PD. Something seems off. Rotors rusted uneven and no good contact to pads was the writeup.

I went 80K Kms on my Ford Edge and never had an issue...

3 of my rotors are smooth like a ceramic plate. One rotor is like a vinyl record. I also use 1PD. I rarely use the brakes so not sure how important it is.

I don't know if it's a 1-pedal thing or not. This vehicle has robust enough regen that if you slow conservatively, maybe the pads/rotors never get a good workout?

If that IS the source of the issue, I can brag that my hooliganism is actually saving me money on brake maintenance. 😁

Mine was nearly perfect until 24,340 miles. Then it pooped the bed. ..hard. I was in the same camp and very happy...not so much now, but I still love the car.

Cool story bro. Let’s hope you don’t end up like the poor guy who’s rear motor just went out and 50k miles that ford says it won’t cover under warranty. Now that would be ironic…
