Ah, I forgot, the MME doesn't have the towing capability, so the beefier wheels aren't needed.
700 kg is still a bit of risk but if the person doesn't plan on hauling 4 large adults with a few hundred pounds of stuff in the trunk, it might be ok.

The axles are rated for 6000lbs total, your car weighs much less than that so if you have 4x1600=6400lbs youre ok.

700kg rating is 1543#... close enough to 1600# for me.

Especially since I have a standard range battery, I am hoping the actual rear axle weight is considerably less than 3200 fully loaded. I don't plan to carry around a lot bricks...

wanted to post a followup.... I've tried ordering the Enkei RPF1 from 3 different dealers. All took the order, but then cancelled when they found out Enkei discontinued. I've been a bit frustrated that the new Enkie catalog doesn't post weights, but finally got a dealer to get some weights.... I dunno how accurate, but here are the top three:

tx-5 at 22# in 18x8
ts-v at 23#
ts9 at 23.4#

a little poking around the web shows them costing $200-$250/wheel

what I still don't know for sure is how much the stock wheels on the Select weigh, for comparision. My goal is to drop *a couple pounds* per wheel and keep the cost below $300/wheel.

I'm wondering, because of the heavy weight of this vehicle do the wheels need to be rated to a certain spec?

Ok, took a wheel off of my friend's premium. 58.1 lbs total. So if the tire weighs 28 lbs, then the wheel is around 30 lbs. TPSM weighs a bit but not much.

Thank you, that should be easy to beat. Ive seen some aftermarket wheels at 21-24lbs

The enkei ts-v 18x8 is supposed to weigh 19.5#. I have a set coming, and will check, as well as verify stock wheel from Select when I swap tires to the Enkei

Thats a nice wheel. I like enkei's but they dont have much in 19. I want to stay in the 19" so that i dont need to buy new tires.

sadly, this is true.... Enkie in fact has NOTHING in 19" with 5x108 bolt as far as I can tell in the 2020 catalog.

The minimum rating for a Premium ER AWD is 1612 lbs. SR could be a bit less but we don’t have the gross axle weights for those yet (someone needs to post a pick of their door sticker).

1543 lbs is cutting it close for a fast heavy car and such a safety critical component...

I have 20x9 CF10 that weigh 24 lbs, so I'd imagine the 19s would be in the 20-22 lb range. Load rating at 730 kg.
