Sounds great, but not sure why such a straightforward concept requires a patent. I guess you just patent everything and hope for the best?

The "drilling two holes in your frunk panel" works pretty well once you are able to get the frunk itself open. Whomever wrote the spec sheet for drilling those holes should file a patent too.

How does this make the frunk secure?

They can remove the 12V jumper wires to open the frunk. The only reason they exist is to get to the battery.

The jumper wires only open the frunk if the battery is dead. If the 12V battery has power those wires do nothing.

This is the first I've ever heard this. I'll have to try it.

So is this something in future versions. Will your dealer do this ? If my husband drills the holes himself via instructions on forum am I out of warranty??

The patent office has said that they're too short staffed to check patents and will grant almost any patent and let the courts decide which are valid.

I guess the best response to this, besides Jes Sayin is to go with the Homer Simpson classic…

“DOH!!!!!!”

Nice work FMC from the date filed it looks like you filed the patent after you had to jump job one genesis vehicles at the factory and realize what a pain in the ass you made it

Gerente sénior... no hay manera de llegar a la batería. Las alitas y camarones están en el camino”

“Senor manager …there is no way to get to the battery. The Wings and shrimp are in the way”

Jes freakin sayin.
