Lost in the maze of OTA updates

So, yesterday, I got an alert on my FordPass app that Blue Cruise was ready and that the version of the latest update was 2.8.2.
This morning, after starting my car I see a different version (2.8.1) on my Sync4 screen.
furthermore, I’m not due how to check on wether or not I did get the Blue Cruise. I did check the Lane Assist settings but nothing seems to have changed. I did also try to activate the lane keeping on the wheel of the car, but it looks the same as before.
Am I missing any steps?
My car is set to download the updates every day @11:50PM.

go drive on a divided highway and turn on the cruise control the same way you did where it had to have your hands on the wheel and you'll see BC will come on instead.

log into your Ford Account online, go to connected services and enable your trial of Blue cruise?

Just went to my Ford account online. The Blue cruise is activated and will expire in 06/23/23

I had the same issue yesterday. I couldn't see the 'Lane Centering with Hands-free option' in the Driver Assistance menu, although Ford Connected Services said I had the complimentary year start on 06/21.

I just waited a day, then got 2.8.3 (not sure if this is necessary), and subsequently had the option along with maps expiry date in General > Sync menu.

That's correct. 2.8.2 enabled BlueCruise and you can use it now. But 2.8.3 will update your SYNC software so that the Adaptive Cruise Control with Hands Free phrasing shows up in your driver assist settings screen instead of the old phrasing.

I actually just received 2.8.3 on FordPass and 2.8.2 on Sync$ in the car.
