As it happens I’m dropping off my son at UofM. I’m tooling around the birth place of our common affection in an Edge Ecoboost, a fine car in its own right. EcoBoost is an inevitable set of technologies on our efficiency journey. Two things are ever present in my mind however. 1) Where are all the MME’s, I haven’t seen a single one in three days. 2) I really, REALLY, am missing my MME. The experience of owning a MachE is just so much more pleasurable. People who have never driven one just don’t realize what they’re missing!!
I agree 100%. People don”t know what they are missing. Love my GT!

Well, having already bought our Select as an orphan when our order arrived at the dealer we did go look at it and we sit a day before refusing delivery. Tomorrow the wife needs to drive farther so I am relegated to rolling in the Explorer. Damn you financial responsibility!!!

I've gotta vote when in a better mindset. I experienced a loud slamming of the roof the 2nd week I had the car which has made me avoid 1/2 the highway driving I would have done, and now there's a recall out.

Seeing how other's replacements have been going I'm pretty worried about the car coming out worse than before.

PaaK has never worked and needs to be updated at the dealer as well as my entire roof probably. Doubt I'll get a Mach-E replacement, and depending on how long it takes, that's a lease month wasted.

I knew I was getting myself into bugs like the PaaK which has just made me a 100% fob person, but this roof recall is going to affect me pretty bad. If Ford actually came and picked my Mach-E up leaving another, that would be great. Really, if they had a Mach-E to lend me that would be great, but I have a feeling I'll be paying for 3 weeks of an Escape or some POS.

There are no parts required for either the windshield or roof recalls. I see no reason they would need to keep your car for an extended period of time.

Overall I love my Mach-E. If I bought again I would want to get the Premium vs. the Select, but I didn't want to wait and took what was available.

The biggest pain is actually getting one, when I reserved on Ford's site they legit lost my reservation completely but took the money. Then I spent a couple of week's fighting with them to get my $500 deposit back, which I eventually had to dispute the charge (which was ruled in my favor). I ended up buying one anyways from dealer inventory. I felt like I was educating the dealer when talking about the available incentives and the car, vs the dealer providing real value there.

Thanks, this inspires hope. I was told pretty much to avoid PaaK if I could for the time being as there was one person out from Michigan doing them all (and saw a line of Mach-E's)

Not sure of the labor involved, but I'll likely take it in before I go on vacation so it's no big deal either way. I was worried a new roof was involved.

Well, I bought a second Mach-E yesterday and had a great experience. A new MME Select AWD in Space White Metallic, second to the first customer delivery Mach-E GT Performance Edition. I was quick to the draw on the deal when one was delivered to a local dealership 15 miles away, bought it before it was officially checked in.

No dealer markup & good deal on the trades (yes, two trade-ins). I'm happy. This dealership is "rural" Iowa and pride themselves on "doing it a different" way by no negotiations (at least in the past), which now means no ADM. They may be able to do ADM, but it's their modus operandi to be fair and not negotiate.

Our family needed another new car - two previous cars had 155K & 100K miles and trade value was quite high than just a year ago. I was just waiting for something major to happen with high repair costs... they had to go and the timing was right. For instance, the 2011 Toyota Sienna minivan with 155K miles was offered to us as a trade for only $3K in July 2020, we declined to trade it in when we bought a 2020 Toyota Highlander Hybrid and kept it for a utility vehicle Now got $7,300 for it yesterday, Oct 2021, as one of the trades for the MME Select.

This was as much an investment as anything - instant equity value: combined with federal tax credit, no ADM, great deal on trade-ins, and 0% interest financing, market value probably higher than MSRP, it was a no brainer. I'd admit had to convince the wife, though, not an easy doing. :)

You may want to consider solar on the house now that you have a fleet of EV’s.

I would buy another, but I'd find a better dealer.
MMEs are so scarce in my area you have to go with who has what you need.
So I put up with some stuff.

Only 210 votes? Come on!!! I guess they are too busy enjoying a drive. (As I have been.)

The only thing I might do differently now is buy a Grabber Blue GTPE instead.

I think the challenge is the group this poll is in...I've been a forum member for months, but this is the first time I've bothered looking at "Mach-E vs the Competition" group because, mostly, I don't care about the competition. If it could be moved to, say, "General Mach-E Topics", you might get more responses.

As for me...I waffled between "7" and "8" and landed on "7"...I (we) love our Mach-E, but now I'm thinking I would have gone for a Kia EV6, but when we ordered our MME in July 2021, that car seemed a year away (at least). But make no mistake, we're not at all sorry we bought our MME.

I like my car despite all the software bugs. But I'm not sure I will buy another Ford after this one. The reason is not the car, I don't have faith in the company, I don't like how it's run. As they say: go woke, go broke.

I have not been impressed with ford reliability in the past, I only bought the Mach e because it’s the only decent EV currently available that’s not a Tesla.
i suspect that there will be lots of new choices when I’m ready to let this one go (assuming it lasts), I’m interested in what Toyota/Lexus comes up with.
