Mach Drop Build Updates

It shows delivered to KC yesterday.

My dealer just let me know that my drop finally arrived at the Henderson railyard. FWIW Palsapp showed my car delivered to Birmingham on 2/11, so that was 15 days to CO. The transport company says it will be at the dealership (1 hour north) no later than Tues 3/2 so 1-4 days. The tracker and Ford's vehicle order tracking both still show 2/25 for delivery but the countdown increased to 2 days now.

Just got the call...my Mach Drop has arrived and will be picking it up today! Original ETA was 2/27-3/5.

You have got to love a Friday Delivery. You get the whole weekend to play with your new toy. It’s like Christmas. Congratulations to everyone who gets their car this weekend.

But mine trucked the 27 miles from the railyard to Interstate Ford later that same day. Had to spend one night at the dealer for charging and inspection, and it was ready 3pm the next day.

I was probably fortunate on some of that timing tough. Could have easily been days longer. Hit and miss.

It was probably the bad weather that stretched mine to 15 days. Looks like it was only an overnight trip from Henderson as both trackers show that it has now been delivered to the dealer. Now I just have to wait for them to do the post delivery inspection and call me. The dealership is closed on Sundays so it will be Monday at the earliest to get it.

So I swing by my dealer today and there on the lot is a space white ER RWD. They must have just taken delivery because it wasn’t prepped. All wrapped up and the light interior had some pretty dirty spots. Nothing that wouldn’t clean up though. When I saw it on the lot I checked the VIN and sure enough it was my original order. As I was about to leave I saw my salesman coming in. I was like “Hey-That’s my original car!” He looked a little stunned. I’m not sure if he didn’t know it was coming in. I don’t think he did. Anyway he let me take it on the spot for the afternoon. I cannot explain how much I like this car. I had taken the demo for a test drive a few weeks ago, but having a few hours with it was totally different. It had 11 miles on it when I got in. So I am thinking someone drove it a bit. I got to bring it home. I have the kids sit in it and my son, who is only 8 and has never expressed any interest in cars at all was like dad you can’t give it back. He actually wanted to see the electric motor and was a little disappointed you couldn’t readily see it. I didn’t do any of the set up, but I did finally get to test my Juicebox 40 and it worked fine. I can’t wait for “Sonic”

Today, palsapp finally shows my car as delivered to argentine ramp. The ETA is 3/9, so I guess that it's still on track. Time to clean out the garage!!!

My original order which also has 3/9 ETA, is still showing pending. I wonder how many Mach Drops showed up on the same day with originals?

Don't know of how many reached on time but my Mach Drop did arrive a few days earlier than ETA but mine was also build very late in the Mach Drop build week schedule.

I saw that my original order (ordered night it was introduced) arrived last night.
my FE Eta arrival 3/12, produced 1/9 and shipped 1/30

I decided to go check it out, just to say hello to it. I pull in the parking lot and see a first edition in my Carbonized gray. I just think to myself "man why can't mine be here"

so I walk over to it and check it out, I go right to the vin, sure enough! it was my vin!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so I went in dealership, and told the salesman that my mustang was outside. he said "thats awesome! we'll make sure you go home in it today!" (and I did)

I found out that it arrived less than an hour before I arrived to dealership.
I'm so glad I stopped by, tracking still says that its in transit.

My Mach Drop showed up on Thursday and picked it up on Friday - only a couple of days after the 2/22 ETA.
Dealer was great - well schooled on Options, Clean Fuel Credit, all other financial stuff, car / phone programming. Shout out to @wmaney and @drewelectric for being the guinea pigs at Vista Ford in Woodland Hills, CA. I was in and out of the dealership in 2 hours, including test drive and their washing the car (I had asked them not to wax the car, but they didn't wash it either). They programmed almost everything including both of our phones - all working great. Only thing they couldn't program was the Homelink, but after 12 tries, got it done myself.
No issues that others have mentioned other than I definitely hear some wind noise at higher speeds from where the windshield meets the roof. Not too bad, but a fix from Ford would be great.
Paint job is first rate - I didn't find any issues at all after going slowly over the car. Fit and finish too - best I have seen on a new car.
Left the dealership, hopped on the 101 Freeway and punched it - scared myself how fast this thing is . . . was doing 90 so quick I had to back off before I soiled myself. This will be fun . . . .

I hope everyone has the experience I have had from delivery forward. I think the dealers are learning from experience as my dealer has done. Ford certainly could have prepared them better from the beginning, but if they are a good dealer, they will figure it out. Loved that my dealer didn't try to push all types of addons to increase their profit, but not my experience.
