I have the 2021 Mach e Premium standard battery. 6,000 miles on the clock since May, never quick charged.

Love the car, but am seeing sharply reduced battery range--and getting worse.

Currently, a 95% charge gives me less than 170 miles.

Dealer has no idea. Any thoughts?

21P22 dealer update helps with this. Not sure if it corrects the guess o meter or increases available battery.

You will lose 20-30% of your range in cold weather. If you are in northern Alaska, maybe 50%. When it's 75 degrees again next May, you will get the same range you had this May.

Should we just start a new thread category for "Hey it's winter time and I just noticed my range went down"? At least then they'll all go to the same spot ?

I think we need a new “range questions” sub forum for all this mess to exist in separately, complete with sticky topics such as “READ THIS BEFORE ASKING ABOUT RANGE”

For everyone saying "it's cold out", I purchased my mach e in the dead of summer and range has never gotten over 212 in my premium ext. range. So yes cold weather has an impact, but would not be so quick to poo poo other possibilities.

considered this. But if temps in the 40s and 50s cut range in half, this car cannot be used for half of the year in most of the US. Doesn't make sense.
Do an experiment.

Step 1: Let your phone discharge. Now leave it out in the cold for a few hours until the battery is nice and cold. Charge it in the cold.

Step 2: Check how long your phone runs on that charge. Spoiler: Maybe you'll get 60% of the normal time.

Step 3: Come back here and ask why your phone won't last as long on a charge.

Step 4: See a bunch of replies saying "It's cold".

Step 5: Google "What kind of battery does my Mach-E have?" Spoiler alert: same as any other electric car, Lithium Ion. REAL big Lithium Ion. Now google "Why don't Lithium Ion batteries charge as much when they are cold". Read answer.

Step 6: Say "Oh yeah, I get it now." Come back and post, "OK, everyone calm down about this whole low range battery thing. Every electric car is like this".
