Hi, first post. I just bought a 2023 MME RWD Premium. Really enjoying it so far, though haven't driven that much yet and only in moderate conditions.

I came across this Moose Test review, seems that stability of rear end is not very good. Has anyone had any issues? Can see it being more of a concern in winter conditions (I live in Toronto, Canada).

There was a ton of discussion when that video first came out.

Havenā€™t really heard of anyone having issues (spinning out etc). The stability control on the car seems quite good.

All the video does is remind me that you arenā€™t supposed to swerve for animals. Just hit the brakes.

Ya, I'm thinking about accident avoidance in general...is there any way I can view the old thread?

Thanks.

I'm wondering if they have done this with the latest updates which updated ABS, I'd be interested if it changed the results

Would be interesting to see if any improved performance in 2023...though I saw that Consumer Reports recently pulled back their MME reco due to declining reliability.

"Reliability issues include issues with the charging system, electrical system, computer system, axles and complete battery cell failures."

Again, I'm a newbie with this car, just going by what I read at this point.

CR pulled back due to people concerned about the HVBJB. It is a mustang, you can get the back to swing a bit but with the baby on it self corrects quickly.

if youā€™re looking for old threads, try the search button or a Google search.

I think it could be the narrow tires. They might not have enough lateral grip to perform well.

Like half of those are actually a widespread thing. Axels and battery cells? Not widespread

I would guess the GT(PE) would perform better due to upgraded suspension and wider-ish wheels.

I'd be interested in knowing if there's any difference.

When this came out all the blogs were blaming it on the ABS programming and that it might perform better after a tweak in the software

I see moose fairly regularly along the roads here in Alaska and have had no problems slowing down. No really close calls thankfully!

I agree the GT PE is likely much better with magneride, wider and stickier tires, and AWD. Iā€™ve been extremely impressed with the grip and traction control action when pushed hardā€¦it makes me a better driver than I am.

If I remember correctly the Porsche Macan S in 2015 failed the moose test also.

the MME is in good company.
