An office chair doesn't compare well though though. You just grab the arms and back straight into it without having to twist down into it. Much easier. Chairs are typically lower than car seats (except for the reeealy low ones). Getting in/out of a car is a whole different motion, requiring more bending/twisting.Guesstimating @First Edition 's shot with the ruler tool in photoshop, I make the seat height in the middle of the guy's thigh at about 21-22 inches, which is consistent with the back-of-the-envelope math we did way back in Jan/Feb timeframe with the dimensions listed on Ford's website. My desk chair is at 19 inches which is right at my knee joint so my thigh is flat to the chair with my feet placed slightly forward, and I am 5' 11". I think you'll have no trouble bending at the knees and landing your butt in the seat.
But your estimate does look consistent. Vehicle height on the website says 63, but a later page shows 64. Front headroom with glass roof is listed at 40.5. Estimating 0.5 for the glass, that's either 22" or 23".
By comparison, my 2013 Escape is listed at 66.3 height, minus 39.9 headroom, and an estimated 2" steel roof. That calculates to 24.4", however the Escape's peak height is over the rear seats. It's about 1" shorter over the driver, thus really 23.4". At least in theory. However when I go out and measure it, I get 26" at butt-height (not counting sinkage, which I have no idea how to gauge).
I guess we'll just have to see it in person.
