MACH-E "In production" since 01/09/21

I had a build date for the week of 01/03. The forum tracker eventually showed a "Production Date" of 01/15 when I checked it on that day. Just received an email from Ford to expect delivery from 03/13 to 03/19. I wasn't in the group that received an email saying that my vehicle would be delayed, so I guess I shouldn't expect my delivery date to improve.

My build date is also 1/15 and ETA is 3/3- In transit today. assuming our MMEs are not involved in the quality check - I am hoping for a revision to the ETA and an earlier date. We will know more once the vehicles are really in transit. Having said that - I think there will be backlog in KC with all these on Hold cars that need to be cleared as well - so our cars may get to KC and sit there waiting for next leg of transportation.

Here is the history of my Mach E:

11/17/2019	Reserved car during the presentation, Rapid Red, Premium, extended range
6/18/2020	Placed order for the car
10/22/2020	Received an email from Ford that the car was scheduled to be produced the week of December 21, 2020.
Week of 11/15/2020	Ford’s website said the production week would be December 13, 2020, and my dealer said that the production date would be December 18, 2020.
In December	The production week was moved back to its original date of December 21, 2020.
12/17/2020	The window sticker is Available and the Ford tracker site says that the car is in production.
1/09/2021	https://www.macheforum.com/site/pages/tracker site indicates that the car has been produced.
1/22/2021	Activate Vehicle button shows up in the FordPass app.
1/26/2021	435 days since the car was reserved. The car is still waiting for shipment in Mexico.

My dealer has said all the data is fairly unreliable, especially on a new launch (which, actually, I guess is fair and honest) so his strategy is mostly to just wait - his own demo, built in November, was just shipped last week with a 2/25 ETA.

True. I think his point was more from a mental health perspective. He does not check his own tracking very often and discouraged customers from doing so as well. No ranting, or searching for explanations of delay that may not be right and certainly won't lead to faster delivery. He had a point, although I'm not entirely following the advice. It is helpful to track on this forum the pace of other deliveries to see how unusual my delay is. There have been cars built after mine that have been shipped, but apparently others that are still at the plant and not really any that have actually been delivered. That's helpful context for now.

My MME was produced on 1/9. It finished "in production" primary status on Monday 1/25, and is now "In Transit". It took a couple of days for shipped to show Est 41 days, and for the the "Transit Date" 41 to fill in, they started showing today. I reserved my initial Premium (now cancelled for the FE) on 1/1/20 so 393 days and counting.

While the VIN tracker gives an ETA of 3/6, my dealer told me that he sees 2/28 - 3/6 on his side.

My hunch is that it hasn't really "shipped" and is sitting there waiting for a train.

Perhaps the dealer can talk to his rep and influence him to check the real status (may be it will stir the pot enough to get your moving incase someone just forgot about it or forgot to update the system)? Just a thought.

My dealers gives me this answer "I will check with the rep" even though he is the largest MME order dealer around me and had systems at his disposal. To influence something the rep may be able to do that is my own interpretation.

You could be right. My counter is counting down (ford status viewer) days starting at 33 but I am also afraid that the car is not on a moving train and once it gets moving will get an updated date

If you check the reservations site, you should be able to see the whole range estimate. VIN Tracker only shows the last date in the range.

Since the Mach Drops are not "Reserved", I'm not sure I can get there. I only see my cancelled Premium under reservations.
