Mach-E Insurance Price Quote. How Is Yours?

Progressive has the Mach E listed and I was able to get a quote. Price was not much different than my current car (Acura) but maybe that's because they don't have enough informaiton on the Mach E.

USAA quoted me $25 more per month to swap out my C-Max for the Mach-E. Which results in a 14% increase in monthly payments for two vehicles (Explorer and Mach-E).

Not so fast, mon ami. Geico quoted me $166/month for a Tesla model 3; a bolt would have been $111/mo. I have high limits, but I also don't live in the most expensive county for car insurance in NJ

The Loss rate/claim factor on the C-Max is established with actual historical data and USAA has pretty slim margins to benefit their members. The MachE is has Zero history and actuaries will have to extrapolate vehicles that as similar as possible but it won't be as aggressive with the lack of vehicle specific numbers. They did this to our Sequoia in 2001, very similar to our Expedition, but our rates went up.. subsequent years the rates actually went down for the Sequoia.

That's what I assumed I haven't paid that much for insurance per month since I was 16 and had a Miata.

I had call my insurance company and basically they told me that it would double ??? I mention to them that with all the security tech on this vehicle to prevent accident I was very surprise by that but they claim that because of all these tech people are too confident in these and they have more accident in which case they say it cost a fortune to repair. But like others they didn't have the vehicule yet in their listing but give me what normally happens with a new EV. Of course when times come I will ask for some estimate on line from different companies.

I got a quote from my current insurer and it’s almost double what I’m paying now for my 2018 Impala (approx $220/mo vs $125). Needless to say, when it comes time to pick up my Mach E I’ll be blanketing the industry to get quotes.

I am an insurance agent in SoCal. I have very high limits. The cost per month over my 2017 Fusion SPORT AWD is $9.00 per month more. If it were a Tesla 3 series it would likely be in the $100 plus more per month. One of my clients just bought an X series Tesla and their payments are $250 per month. The Mach E is LESS than a $100 per month
