LFP is heavier. They're likely getting a larger battery capacity not from more battery, but from less reserve buffer (the one advantage of LFP). But the higher weight of LFP means less efficiency (assuming equivalent/higher volume and thus higher vehicle weight) so the mi/kwh would be lower.
Yeah I thought about that but between assuming smaller buffer and not being that dramatically less in energy density I figure the extra weight isn't that huge, especially since weight plays a much smaller role than aerodynamics when it comes to keeping an object moving (Though obviously does to get it moving.) Maybe I'm really underestimating how much more weight it is though 🤔

Just got back from my local dealership. They have a 23 GT being delivered this month that I was interested in. Asked about the new MSRP pricing and they arent going to honor it. So they will be selling at old msrp($66,000 after destination) plus $2500 dealer markup.

Looks like I’ll just order and wait for one to get the $4k off.

My order was placed on Jan. 27th and I still haven't taken delivery. It is sitting in KC rail yard since early last week. I am hoping my dealer will work something out about the 4k difference.

Well... they'd like to sell it for that much. Seems unlikely the current market will bear it, but I guess you never know.

No problem, it'll probably come out over the next day or two. I reached out via Ford chat and they had no idea. Emailed my dealer but haven't heard back or been able to get in touch with my guy, he must be off today.

If I can get $4,000 off my premium that's about to be built plus the other $2,000 credit I will be a very, very happy camper.

Any thoughts on if it will come off the purchase price? Or a check from Ford?

Imagine if car dealers had electronic window stickers similar to the Best Buy shelf stickers that would automatically update to reflect the latest price changes. :) (yes, I know this is a pipe dream).

Good luck with the ordering process from Ford. I’ve now ordered a Mach E and a Lightning and both orders have been disasters (two different dealers but Ford Corporate is worthless when it comes to supporting the customer when the order goes off the rails at the dealer level). I’ll never order a Ford again.

I’m personally done with Ford but if I was to buy one it would only be off the lot and never again through an order. I bought a Mach E off the lot and that process was smooth and no-nonsense (perhaps I just lucked out that time with a good dealer, who knows).

a couple of small print items in the technical specs @ChasingCoral posted:
  • BlueCruise 1.2 is a 90-day trial in all trims - 3-year subscription is now $2,100
  • The Ford Mobile Power Cord is now optional (instead of included) in all trims
this explains why you may have a hard no when asking for the price changes to be reflected on your scheduled or produced but yet-to-be-delivered vehicles.

but it also means you should clarify with your dealer about the options to be delivered on your vehicle if it is unscheduled and might fall into the 2023.5 production timeline.

Ford is clearly pivoting to a fee-based model, either via subscription or package offerings, while trying to compete on the base price. And yes, they may very well charge older models for BC1.2, but they can't take BC1.0 away from those who already have it for 3 years.

Very doubtful since the press release specifically addresses orders that have NOT yet taken delivery.
How would my '22 order converted into '23 with PCO that is at 57 weeks now - will I get the lower price since I have not taken delivery ?

43 more HP for SR get eaten up by extra weight? Or would performance be better for the SR AWD with the new battery.

I think your specific case with price hikes, multiple price drops, and a private offer will need to be looked at by Ford to untangle.
