As I can tell from joining this forum there are a lot of different issues with the Mach E.

I know with a new model of car there are going to be some issues but there seems to be an inordinate amount of issues with this vehicle.

I would like to hear from some owners that have had the vehicle for several months or more that have used and understand the tech in the vehicle.

Not using the tech like PAAK and dismissing the issues with this feature because you don't really like tech is not really a positive for the vehicle.

The last post I read with the car dying on the gentleman coming down a mountain is a serious issue.

Parts availability for the gentleman with the accident is unacceptable!

CarPlay? Does it, or does it not work all of the time?

I really want to purchase this car but every time I come on here there's another issue.

Someone with some time/miles on this car, who likes and knows tech, tell me something good.

In the end, these EVs are computers driving electric motors. The reliability of the tech is the heart of the car.

Yeah, you're right. My MME is more reliable than my Windows machines, about as reliable as my Macs, and less reliable than my Linux boxes. Luckily this is all software.

I love and know tech, and I love an know my MME. I have to think that everyone who buys an MME (or Tesla) is a techie, because we're still all early adopters. If you can't troubleshoot your iPhone, you probably shouldn't buy an electric car today.

Three months 5000 miles.
Drives great.
Sometimes it thinks they're is no key. It's usually my samsung phone having a nap.
Just came back from a weekend away. Used more electricity than I wanted. But then I was racing up a mountain at a decent speed.
I turned on adaptive driving. Makes cornering so much easier. In the car eleven hours driving with rest stops. Nice and relaxed at the end.
Drive it like a normal car at times.
So much fun.
And pace when I needed to just get through traffic.
So quiet. Air condition was awesome in our heat wave.
I hate spending money on cars. No regrets on this one. Just put charging stations next to nicer restaurants!
Still waiting to use the free oil change they offered me. Did have been great. Dealer should get over the electric car bit.
And yes, I'm a techie. I was fixing PC's on dos. Amazing what you could do with that.

It feels like Mach E Forum is being invaded by Branch Elonians stans today.

My Mach E is superb. My infinite blue metallic premium ER AWD is a Detroit designed car with a next gen powertrain upgrade. I drove in all 3 major Tesla models and was underwhelmed by ride, design, craftsmanship, and fit and finish.

especially the $100,000 ModelX with an interior material quality on par with a Hyundai Tuscon.

As with EVERYTHING, individual experiences vary. Paak didn't work well for me, so I stopped using it and just carry the fob like I've done for decades. All the pissing and moaning about it is getting silly. Wireless Android Auto works exceedingly well for me. Charging has been fine for me, except at one EA charger that has poor marks on plugshare. The car is awesome to drive, has never had an issue on the road and other than the Paak, sync4 has acted funny 3 times and a reboot fixed it.

The hardware engineering gets an A+
The software engineering earns a B
The logistics/support get a D

If you can live with that, get the car. If not, move on to something that gets better marks

I don't use PaaK because I don't want to own a car that only I can drive.

CarPlay works perfectly every time my wife uses the car (she has an iPhone and I have an Android)

My car has never left me stranded. Has always operated as expected.
I would buy it again if given the choice.

Yes, I am disappointed in FordPass but it has never made it impossible to use the vehicle like a normal car.

I have had mine for a little over 4 months.

Just received my survey packet from JD Power. Just about ready to fill it out in a few moments. :)

I have had my Mach-E since February and have not had any significant issues. Yes, sometimes PAAK is slow to be detected and I would not trust it if there was not a backup password option. And, originally, I had some wireless Android Auto issues, but these appears to have been resolved a couple of months ago. Other than that, I have not had any problems – not even a squeak. The build quality appears to be particularly good. Range is better than expected. I find the cabin comfortable and quiet. Driver assistant features work well. Etc.

If pressed, I could probably come up with a list of a few things that Ford can be improved upon. But there is nothing that I would describe as a problem with my vehicle.

I love my MachE Select Awd so far. I've had it for 2 months now with no issues. I would not consider myself a techie person but I have had no issue learning to use the car. I actually would not usually consider myself an early adopter but I was drawn to this car because I really wanted an electric car but did not like the Teslas. It is weird to have everyone look at your car and ask you about it but I figure that will go away soon as more Mache's come out and more EVs in general. All in all, I don't regret my purchase

Have had my MME for about a month. Around 600 miles (which isnt a lot compared to some on here) and have had practically no issues. I live in Chicago (the actual city), do not have an at-home charger, and it’s awesome for my uses. Lastly, I’m a mid-30s data scientist and definitely know tech.

PaaK has worked flawlessly. Even with both me and my wife in the car at the same time. Used it today. No setup issues either.

the infotainment software is quite good. Some pretty obvious bugs exist which are mostly trivial and will get fixed (touch screen beep setting doesn’t save, navigation sound button says it’s unmuted, when it is muted). But the car feature customization at a profile level is incredible!

drives quite amazingly as you could imagine and others have mentioned. Took a road trip this weekend and it was absolutely flawless. The interior of the car is honestly amazing.

A lot gripes on this forum are justified, albeit overblown at times. Will say the dealer experience for me was awful, but it was more so typical dealer shenanigans and run around. Ford having a centralized EV support would help tremendously IMO. I’ll say, if I have to wait for replacement part for 6 months, I’d be furious. This is one of the main reasons I didn’t buy a Tesla. Interior construction quality and post-purchase service experience.

my biggest want right now is more data / information around capacity usage. I’ve seen some great examples of range projections when driving and trending graphs, etc. which I think the MME (and any EV) would benefit from. Same goes for charging. Limited data around charging for me.On both accounts would just like to see more visuals/transparency of what is happening.

hope this helps!

I took delivery of my Mach E three month ago and I have driven 1,200 miles. I have had no problems with the car. PAAK has always worked well. There was a 2 second delay a few times and I have not used a FOB for 2.5 months. I have never had a key not detected message so have never had to use the start code. I had to ask for help with settings from forum members several times. Can't comment on car play. I use an I-Phone. Fit and finish was darn near perfect. No problems with the dealer and delivery. Two fast charges at EA were flawless. I have squealed the tires a few times around corners, but have never felt the car was out of control. I would purchase a Mach E again in a heartbeat.

Similar experience on my end also.
PaaK works, just not as quickly as the fob and not as versatile. Really a non issue for me since PaaK was never a feature that I cared about at all. Ford could have left that off this car and I still would have purchased it anyway.

Exactly what I ordered. Drove the 3 and Y at least 4 times each. Still have my order for the Mach E. I just hope I won’t regret it.

I don’t think you will just based in the quality of the car itself. It’s just a very solid car and is everything I need. I love driving the car and put 400 miles on it the first week just tooling around town every excuse I had. In fact, just got back from a 20 minute Late night drive around the block because I love driving the car that much.

Thank you all for sharing your experiences.

Every time I go back and drive the Mach E, I prefer it over the Tesla’s.

Now if I can just figure out what happened to my car, I’d be less concerned.

July 26 delivery, gone. Changed to October 31, gone. N/A is new delivery and end delivery date is 1990. Yeah, 1990. Seems to be stuck in production.
