2023 Mach E Select

Hello All. I’m new to the forum but I wanted to see if anyone has picked up/paid for their Mach E recently.

I originally placed an order on 4/6/22 for the 2022 Mach E Select RWD with Comfort/Technology package. I got the notice on 8/31/22 that 2022 will be switched to 2023 with private offer rebate. I kept it as the Select Model RWD with blue cruise activation (no more com/tech package). It is set to arrive 12/30/22. I have the option to pay for the car before it arrives to take advantage of the fed tax credit for 2022 year. I’m planning on doing the ford options plan
The following are the financing, options, and rebates:

Ford Mustang Mach-E Mach E Select 2023 pricing and rebates?!? F1D6695F-5208-4B6C-89ED-7C692A6E95B0

Here are my questions:

1.Should I process the payment before 12/31/22 or wait until after 1/1/23?

2. Are the rates and monthly payments appropriate for my timeline. I know they are supposed to honor the rates using smart Vincent. The dealership said they did and this is the best pricing?

3. Is the ford options rebate only $2,000 I heard $2,500?

4. Is there adjustments to the options pricing if I drive more than the 10,500 miles in a year.

5. Is there any other rebates or incentives I should be utilizing? I live in Southern California area.

Thanks Everyone!

I have the option to pay for the car before it arrives to take advantage of the fed tax credit for 2022 year.
The IRS says the car has to put in service in 2022 to get the tax credit for 2022. If you're not over the income limit for 2023, you can still get the full tax credit until at least March.

I would also ask them to remove Ford Premium Care Wrap for $3995. Your payment will go down considerably.
Ford option went from 2500 to 2000 in Aug-Sept when you converted to a 2023.

Answers in red:

1.Should I process the payment before 12/31/22 or wait until after 1/1/23?
Paying for a vehicle that has not arrived to the dealership is risky.
If the vehicle arrives with transit damages or is totalled during transport - how will you explain that to your insurance company and finance lender ?
IRS says it has to be placed in service - not purchase date. So you may end up being audited.
If you are under the $150/$300K income cap, better to wait until January to sign the contract as you may get the full $7500 credit in 2023.

2. Are the rates and monthly payments appropriate for my timeline. I know they are supposed to honor the rates using smart Vincent. The dealership said they did and this is the best pricing?
4.49% is correct for '22->'23 conversion - assuming you have top tier credit.

3. Is the ford options rebate only $2,000 I heard $2,500?
yes, $2K Options incentive is standard for '22->'23 in CA.

4. Is there adjustments to the options pricing if I drive more than the 10,500 miles in a year.
Yes, if you choose more miles you will pay more as the RV% (residual value) goes down.

5. Is there any other rebates or incentives I should be utilizing? I live in Southern California area.
CVRP = $2000 (income caps), CCFR = $750 (currently out of funds), Utilities offering rebate or charger installation depends on which provider.

As @Rogue Pony said - drop the $4K protection care package option - it's dealer added markup accessory.

4. Is there adjustments to the options pricing if I drive more than the 10,500 miles in a year.
yes, there is a table of residual values based on the number of miles you are "buying" which determines the balloon payment for Options.

miles over the limit you chose are charged at $0.25 per mile.

CVRP has not added the 2023 model to their list yet. it won’t accept my ’23 VIN. i called and they said i’ll just have to keep trying to see when they add the ’23 model. and if it falls outside of 3 month after purchase, then i’m SOL.
