So I just took delivery of a base Mach E select RWD and on the drive home I start to hear some very annoying creak and rattle noises when driving on rough roads. For some reason I didn't notice until the drive home because I'm an unlucky idiot. This is the most expensive product I have purchased in my life and this feels really shitty. Will take to dealer but not expecting much from them as this vehicle platform seems new to them and I am much more knowledge about the product then the entire dealership. Anyone experience anything similar? Noise sounds like its coming from front passenger seat or perhaps rear left of vehicle I cant really tell.

Squeaks and rattles are nothing new to dealerships. Hope it's something easily found/fixed.

No joke!!! If that was a pave road I would not drive on it !! That noise appears to be a plastic sound. Should be fairly easy to fix . Its going to take 2 more people in the car. One in the passenger seat and one in the back. The point being when the sounds is happening, hands are going to need to be move around and pushing on different parts of the MME. When the sounds stops that would be the location to either tighten something up or install some
thin sticky back felt to eliminate the noise. You could have the dealer try. I have fix a least
a 1000 rattle in my 40 years in the service dept. I never heard one I could not fix !! I there is a will there is a way!! Good luck !! Happy Hunting !!
One more thing , under 30 year old have better directional hearing.

Thanks for the feedback guys, honestly this is the first new vehicle i have ever purchased. It's reassuring to know that this shouldn't be a complicated fix. Really hoping its an easy quick fix

Try pressing on the door where the trim piece is that is above the armrest and below the trim line. I have a rattle there. Another one I have is actually were the seatbelt goes into the B pillar. That whole plastic section will start rattling but just pressing on it will stop it until I hit a bad section of road.

The age ole problem of rattles. We have come so far, and yet we can't figure out how to build a car with rattle stopping foam in over 80 years. Sad really...

Sorry to resurrect this thread, OP did the dealer get it? I'm imagining so.

I've got a somewhat different creak/rattle that only happens for a few moments over pretty bumpy roads/train tracks, etc. It's not terrible (your recorded noise is worse, and longer). I already adjusted the "frunk" stops and will take a look at adjusting the rear hatch stops also. Unclear exactly where it is--too many reverberations while driving.

I had a similar issue as OP and i isolated the sound it to the front passenger seat belt buckle. Was able to verify that was it because when I pivot the buckle so that is wedged between the side of the seat and center console with no room to move the noise goes away.

Sounds like something is shaking around inside one of the door pockets. Did you check to see if the passenger door packet was empty? They are pretty deep and long.

Then you have a fastener that is loose probably.

I just brought my car home today and have this exact noise. Were you able to fix yours?

I am almost at 10K miles, and have all of a sudden noticed a rattle also. Since the noise seemed to be coming from the back, we had someone sit in the back to push around to see what it could be, but couldn't figure it out. Then as I was wiping my car down after a wash, I noticed the tail light on the door hatch that opens was kinda loose. I am wondering if the light became loose from all of the opening and closing. I am going to bring it up to the dealership when I take it in for the 10K service.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

I have a rattle from the little plastic piece that keeps the sunglass holder up. If I open and close it then it usually solves it for a bit.

I had a rattle in one of the trim pieces and all I had to do was push down in that spot and it has never come back.

It helps to walk around the car just pushing down on every single trim/pillar/anything you see to make sure it is fully pressed in where it should be.
