Mach-E stuck in chime-mode, keeps playing animation.

Odd thing started happening yesterday. The 3-tone chime sound (which normally only plays when you open the door with the car running) is now playing consistently (even with the car off). Furthermore, the steering-wheel display keeps playing the mustang animation consistently, even after closing the doors and locking the car.

Is there an easy way to reset the system without defaulting everything to factory?

Thanks everyone! It seems like... either you have an ICE car and are dealing with mechanical problems, or you have an EV car, and are dealing with electrical gremlins and software issues. There's no winning!

Could be the headlights switch bug, try turning it off, then back to auto to jog its memory.

Thank you everyone. Good suggestion. It turns out the headlight switched was inadvertently turned to ON instead of AUTO. From the user manual, it was my understanding that it always reverts to AUTO after the car is switched off and back on. I guess that’s not always the case. This would’ve been easier to diagnose if a clear message presented itself on the screen that the headlights are on.

Me too. 1x thus far. Knew it was headlights. Chime gives it away. But I walked away and noted that after it honked locked the headlights were on. Um nope.
