https://torkliftcentral.com/select-ecohitch-style?vid=5147 Ecohitch now exists for the Mach-E Mustang!

3 Style Options:

Hidden

All EcoHitch models are precision manufactured to have hidden crosstubes when installed. The only part of the hitch that is ever visible is the receiver and has a higher level of ground clearance than most hitches available.

Invisi

The Invisi EcoHitch is completely hidden behind the license plate or factory knockout panel so you do not see the hitch when not in use. The Invisi hitch has the highest level of ground clearance out of all the EcoHitch models available.

Stealth

The Stealth EcoHitch is 100% completely hidden when not in use. The crosstube is hidden behind the bumper and comes with a removable receiver. When not towing or hauling, the receiver can be detached to hide the hitch making it completely undetectable.

Maybe an opening in the underside for a hitch?

Probably a vent of some kind maybe for cooling the batteries
The batteries are liquid cooled through an AC chiller system under the hood. If it is a vent then maybe it's to release air trapped between the body and the aerodynamic covering.

Most likely for the battery cooling heat exchanger. The battery is actively cooled but that heat from the cooling system has to go somewhere.

But the cooling system is under the hood, not the ‘trunk’ area. This opening is under the reverse light. Could just be there because it’s a prototype.

A bit of a false alarm on this thread. The hitch is not available, or even designed. I tried to order one and all you get is a place to leave your email. The link is basically a show of interest to see if it's worth the company's time to try and design a receiver. They've not seen the Mach-e and really have no idea if it will even be possible. They're pretty confident that it will be possible, but this confidence doesn't really seem based on anything. Anyways, that's the info I was given.

Yes. Their response to the query gets you:

Thank you for the inquiry and your support. We have not had the opportunity to test this vehicle and would not be able to guarantee the fit. We rely on local customers and dealers to provide us with vehicles to test and this one has not been provided to us yet.

If you have further questions on fitment or the EcoHitch, please feel free to give us a call at 844-369-9358. Thank you for all your support in Torklift and have a wonderful day.

Torklift previously worked with Clarity owners to test the Ecohitch for the Clarity. This was on the INSIDEEVs forum. I live near the main Torklift store in Kent, WA. The person that was their focal for the evaluator program worked there, her name was Kerstin. They offered to give the Ecohitch to you for free, not including installation, in exchange for your testing and evaluation. Below is part of the message that I got from them. In the end I did not do this as we canceled our plans to use a rear platform to hold a scooter. She actually gave one to me, but I returned it to them.

I wanted to reach out to you to invite you to join Torklift Central's product evaluator program for the EcoHitch. The program is designed to give the EcoHitch to folks such as yourself for free, in exchange for your honest feedback on our product.

We are currently working on a hitch for the Clarity now, and as soon as it’s released I will send it out to you. All we ask is that you install the hitch on your vehicle and try it out shortly after you receive it. Your feedback is of the utmost importance to us and will be used in our effort to continually improve the EcoHitch.

Thanks for this info. I’ve reached out to Torklift to offer my services as a product evaluator as my FE should arrive in the first month of customer deliveries.

So, Torklift is definitely looking for product evaluators but you must be willing to drive your MME to their offices in Kent Washington. Anyone interested should email them.

Unless the hitch comes from Ford with towing software for the car and an actual tow rating, it's not much value.

I disagree completely. I plan to use mine like the one on my Leaf, primarily for carrying bicycles with the occasional rack with coolers, etc. for outings.
