For me the biggest thing is the "Price: TBA". You can have anything you want as long as you are willing to pay for it - I'm sure it will have some appealing features but if it is 2-3X as much as the Mach-E it doesn't feel like a fair comparison.

There are some ICE Macan's in my neighborhood and I do think they look good - side by side you can tell the MachE was benchmarked against the Macan. That said, I think Ford did quite a good job on the MachE, particularly the rear - distinctively "mustang" while still looking modern. Not an easy feat for a brand changing its image.

I traded in my Macan S for the MME. I do like the MME but there is no comparison ride wise & handing.

I called my sales person at Porsche wanting my name on their list for the Macan EV but they are not taking any deposits yet.

would I actually buy one? depends on how it looks in real life, how it rides and the price. If you want to compare price-compare the GTPE version against the Macan and then see the price difference. If it’s within $10k I would put my money on the Porsche being a better ride, handling better and no 5 sec timeout .

the version here did not impress me but let’s see what it looks like when it hits the showroom.

I’m definitely keeping my eye on this one.

My guess? Pricing and performance options will be similar to the Taycan.

Taycan base- $86k…….. but then it gets real expensive.

4S- $106k

GTS- $134k

Turbo- $153k

Turbo S- $187k!

And that’s with NO options. Fully loaded can add $20-40k to the price of each!

So while the Macan EV May “start around $80k,” I don’t think we will be impressed with what you get for that price.

I would think it will start less than the Taycan but you are right, add ons will be plenty and pricey

Yeah, my guess is to get a 0-60 to beat the GTPE, you’ll be paying $100k or more in the Macan.

Shouldn’t be shocking. Porsche has NEVER been a performance bargain.

Although…… who knows? The Taycan and the Panamera are priced almost the same. If the Macan EV stays in line with the ICE Macan, maybe the top model would start around $100k.

I have always thought the GTPE and it’s rims look very Macan-ish from the side profile and at $78K this year it will be a tough sell against an $80k EV Macan…

Again, it depends on what Porsche gives you for $80k.

I can almost guarantee it won’t be GTPE level performance and features at that price.

You can buy a base Taycan right now for $86k.

I don’t think I’ve heard of anyone cross shopping the base Taycan and the GTPE.

But some might cross shop a Macan EV and the GTPE, similar size. Like I said before there will not be any 5 sec limit on acceleration with the Macan and you can probably floor the car 10 times without any issues.

can’t say the same with the MME and if the diff is 10k, well we will have to see
