this is an interesting, but slightly flawed comparison... but everything I'd say are honestly kind of nits.

The math on L2 charging is seriously flawed in that video. L2 charging times should be damn near identical with similar battery size and charger output for the two cars. What she says makes zero sense.

For me, the biggest advantages of teh Bolt:

1. Price. Significantly cheaper in lowest trim vs lowest trim comparison. This is a great way to make EVs accessible to the mass market. In Canada teh pricing will probably even undercut the base Model 3.

2. GMs history with EVs. They been building EVs for a long time and their battery thermal management is second to none. The Volt and the Bolt have been extremely reliable vehicles.

That being said I have a Select on order after owning 4 GMs (including a Volt) in my life. I want something cooler than point A to B transportation, and I can afford a nicer car these days.

I think she’s using the max AC charge rate of the Bolt (11kW) and comparing it to the charge rate of the EVSE that comes with the MME (7.6kW). You’re right that it makes no sense. The max AC charge rate of both vehicles is about the same, and the EVSE that comes with each vehicle has the same limits. She doesn’t even mention the different max DC charging rates.

Her pricing comparison is also flawed since she doesn’t mention the $7500 tax credit.
