Decent. It's about exactly as fast as a 2005-2010 stock Mustang GT. However, those cars could also pick up a few HP with some simple bolt-ons.
I'll take it in a car that weighs over 1000 lbs more and isn't a coupe!

I have a 2.3 ecoboost Mustang, and a MME GT reservation. What I enjoy most in the 2.3 is the handling. I worry a bit that the MME GT will feel like a battleship in comparison. I know you can’t have it all, but I hope the GT will do better on the skidpad than the non-GT MMEs.

That's what they said about the 2.3L Ecoboost Mustang, too! I know, I have one. Many a V-8 Mustang owner would ask my why I got it. For one, it has 90 more HP then the 1990 GT I owned once. It was a lot of fun to mod and is more nimble on fun curvy roads.

From all the driving reviews, I expect the same from the Mach-E. ??

This got me thinking. For most cars, horsepower figures are provided at the engine crankshaft. Losses through the rest of the drive train can sap 10% to 20% or so. As a reference, my '06 GT has a 300 hp motor. On a dyno, it read 266 hp at the wheels (manual transmission).

Since the ev motors are basically a direct drive to the axles, is there any loss in the drive train or is the hp number actually the wheel hp?

Good point. There is a slight loss, of course, but it's greatly minimized. The motors' torque goes through a single speed gearbox and a very short halfshaft before reaching the wheels. It's probably a reduction on the order of about 5%, but that's a wild (educated) guess.
Nowhere near as severe as the typical 15-20% driveline loss on an ICE.
