I actually don’t think that’s bad. This only leaves 9k production models to sell worldwide its first year of production. I bet they will sell pretty easily. I think there is a large segment of people who aren’t interested in reserving (or just don’t see a benefit) and would rather buy off the lot.Now that we are a month in to the Mach-E timeline I thought it would be interesting to see how the Mach-E intro stacks up against the Tesla Model 3(TM3) intro. An article from June 2018 in electric says 61% of TM3 refundable reservations occurred in the first month. Applying that information we can start making some assumptions:
1st month Mach-E reservations(29,000-4,000) 25,000
Approximate total Mach-E reservations 41,000(25,000/61%)
Looks like Ford has got to ramp up its marketing. The best way to do that is to get those 4,000 Demo models to the dealers. I, for one, want to sit in one before ordering.
This is more likely. Apparently, NBC just realized it was news!...or don't even really know about it yet.
Great idea! I'll try that at my local dealer. Also, while the Tri-Coat White seems straight forward, it is hard to tell the actual Space White color. Looks different on my cell phone v. laptop. Seems like a matte white finish with a hint of silver.I was considering the Iconic Silver originally. I went to my local Ford dealer and pulled up next to a 2020 Ford Fusion in Iconic Silver on the lot with my Radiant Silver Cadillac SRX. The Fusion looked gray. I'm going with white Mach-E GT.
