I read a person's comment about the Mach E order they placed today. Their number was 100450xx. It has been only 10 days since someone reported 100402xx.

Well I found it on the Terms of Reservation.

10. Reservation Cancellation; Transfer; Assignment.
You may cancel your Reservation and request a refund online at owner.ford.com. If you cancel your Reservation before you order your vehicle, the full Reservation Deposit will be credited back to your credit card within 10 business days. Please note that all cancellations are final. You may not transfer or assign your Reservation or any other rights under these Terms and Conditions.

So all of you that want to switch dealers I do not think this is possible.

I don't see where that confirms your reservation # is cancelled if you switch dealers. To me the language "You may not transfer or assign your Reservation or any other rights under these Terms and Conditions." is likely talking about transferring/assigning to another individual.

Yes I agree. But it is not that clear. Ford or a dealer can say " It says right here you may not transfer".
So assume nothing. If it can be misunderstood it will be in their favor. Who cares I am not changing
anything. How about some input from members who have done this ?

If the reservation numbers are sequential and that 45k number is true, then it seems that Ford has an instant hit on their hands beyond what they probably thought possible.

For every pre-order, there is going to be multiple random customers off the street who will wander in for a test drive and then want to buy one. Demand may far outstrip supply.

Yes 45K is very interesting. When will members receive their MME ? Who wants to do the math ?
4K-dealers 60%-Europe GT-next year and % that drop out. So what do we end up with ?
How many in USA really ? And the 60% is what ? Is it of 1 production year 2 year every year?
A lot to consider.

Hmm, I reserved on 3/3 (Tuesday's date) and my reservation # is 100460xx

Ordered on 3/5 and had 100440xx.

So the reservations are either random within sets of say 5000, divvied up by region, or going in order while backfilling cancelled numbers. It can’t be 100% sequential.

Pretty funny that yours is an earlier # than mine when I ordered on 3/3. These can’t be sequential.
