OK, so the trunk is " put in place". Ford recommends it staying in place. But there are 4 bolts that hold it in place. They can be removed and it comes out.

So for Ford protection, they have to say don't remove it. What you do with it....well...... you know.
If there is not a safety pull that lets you open it from the inside then I could see them putting the divider in due to small children.

You can see the safety button in some of the video walk-arounds.

Maybe they took that out? I dunno, its the only thing I can think of because it doesn't seem like it would provide any structural support. ?‍♂

The frunk dividers can be removed. I will be checking on this tomorrow about why she said that.
I figured it was maybe for the safety of the Pomeranian.

Yeah so ok, it's screwed into place. The rebels among us can take it out by unscrewing it. All well and fine, but it still begs the question, "Why was it intended to be permanent?" Enquiring minds want to know.

I would say for kids getting locked in. Remember the big deal with refrigerator doors and freezer doors back in the day.

but with a release as Mark showed on the post just above yours, why would this be a concern? it's not a concern with a trunk for that reason.

This is not saying you're wrong, it's asking what's different in this case.

I wonder if the frunk divider is there to keep weight from shifting and causing a steering imbalance issue.

i don't think so they want you to fill it with ice. that will slide around more than anything.
"fill it with ice? I thought it was a BEV not an ICE... you're so confusing. I'm getting back into my Canyonero."

Then the divider would act as a baffle to keep the ice from shifting. Just like the baffles they have in fuel trucks to keep the fuel from sloshing back and forth.
