Oh this will be much better than the Walmart one I've got.
Yeah 70+ mph it'll beat your full size down the block as well!
I'm trying to find just the body, or just car but I don't think that'll happen. But I will have this car at some point. I've run HPI for decades, currently dont have one so.. why not! lol

NOPE! It's got about a 25 minute limit lol. Remember this is the 1400, not those consumer grade GTPE's 🤣

I'm skeptical of 70mph on a 3S LiPO. I've got a few RC cars and you're not hitting 70mph unless you're running a 6S or higher. If I'm wrong, I'll accept that, but that seems like a bit of a stretch

Either way, very cool looking car. Might have to drop some cash

That orange Mustang on a 3s is in the 65 ish range all the time on the right tires. Albieit it's a utter PITA to enjoy driving that fast (it was built for drifting but street tires just turn it into a rocket). You need a long straight but it can be done on 3s. It's problem is the gears start to get hot at the spur when ripping long distance for a long time. My street is probably 1000 ft long. Problem is stopping becomes a train wreck if you need to back off quick. Those 3s high speed claims are peak speeds, not very sustainable for long as you can't see the car anymore lol. If I get it I'll have to dig out my gps speedo again.

Same car, different body.

I used to race RC cars on a semi professional level. Number one question from spectators = How fast does it go?”. Speed doesn’t win races. Consistency does. I just wanted to interject my mastery.

I know nothing about RC cars, How much do these normally go for? Top Speed over 60mph seems incredible.

Ready to run minus Battery is usually $250 for brushed motors, $350 for brushless. Brushless is far faster. Batteries are $25 to $200 depending on how crazy you want to get. I have enough crap to not have to worry about stock radios and slow chargers.
The Hoonitruck was on the list but I think this HPI just bumped it off

Thing is 2s (read 7.4 volt) is more than enough to run the MME 1400 up to nearly 35mph and does plenty of doughnuts and slides. 3s just good for speed runs or if you have a mall parking lot. I went First Person View last year and had an absolute blast in an empty parking garage. But the FPV cost nearly more than the car.

Super fun!

I always forget to pull my truck out of the closet……. I go many months if not over a year before driving it. Brushless 2S Lipo setup. Does about 30 mph, nothing too crazy. But it’s 2wd so the wheelies are fun.
