up hill or down hill at the start? From a physics standpoint, it doesn't matter, but when you charge at home (assuming you do), do you charge to less than 100%. I have an 800 ft downhill every morning, so set my max L2 charge to 95%. My average is 3.9 mi/kWh, close to 3000 miles.

I'm guessing we're getting a lot of self-selected success in this thread, i.e. that the ones on the high side of the average are more likely to post their successes. Curious to hear more from the people experiencing the other side of the curve.

I'm sitting right on EPA now (3.1, which is right at 270 EPA for the AWD ER). 2/3rds highway through (75-80 MPH).

In the colder months I was getting 2.8. Now after over 8000 miles on trip 2 it says 3.3. Total miles, 9500.

Additional info: I am driving a CA Rt 1 model in SoCal. Have never used any heat, always have A/C on but half the time it is only blowing, since outside temp is at or below my 68 degree set point in the mornings and some evenings. About 60% of distance has been 70 mph or less (well, sometimes 75 when going around some 69 mph slowpoke...). And, this is the car reading for mi/kWh, does not take into account actual kWh pulled during a charge session.

I've been getting about 3.5-4 during this PNW heatwave and having AC on pretty much whenever I've been driving. I even had 50 mile drive yesterday where I averaged 5.4! Definitely impressed! I have yet to do a full charge but at that rate, that's up to 272 miles on a 100% charge if the 4 miles per kwh holds up. Well above the advertised 211 mile range on Select AWD - though I cant help but imagine it would probably be closer to 230-250.

Edit: Went to my car for the overall mi/kWh and saw a nice 3.9 overall

There is a (credible) YouTube video of a German guy w/ a RWD ER MME doing a 100% to 0% test drive on the Autobahn (early summer?). He achieved an impressive 600 km (372 mls), which is almost WLTP range (610 km).

He was white-knuckling it for a full 6 hours though  .

True indeed. And you are getting some awesome efficiency with your driving patterns. During my winter months here in NYC (got my car in Feb), I was averaging 2.7 with my normal driving as opposed to 3.5 lifetime. I think this is still good as well.

I never charge to 100%, Only charge to 80% and i have to climb the hill first.

I have a CA Route 1 in Star White. Got my car last month and driven nearly 700 miles. My lifetime average is 3.9 mi/kwh. The GOM at 100% has clocked in at 325 miles after my most recent charge. I'm quite impressed with the efficiency of the car. Mostly around town driving with a couple trips to LA. AC in constant use, set at 72.
