I stumbled upon the tail end of a car meetup yesterday. Even though most had left, the Mach-E got A LOT of attention.

That Grabber Blue is such a show color. Nice view BTW....
It was at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, on of the best outdoor music venues in the US. (I even got engaged at a concert there.) During times when there aren't concerts it is open for workouts, yoga, drum circles, picnics, etc.

Oh, and I even was at a concert too about 10 years ago. Loved it, can't remember who I had seen due to such a distraction.

I'm hoping to have mine before the Caffeine and Octane (what they call Cars and Coffee in Atlanta) in April. probably won't be able to have the ceramic treatment done but I'm aiming to be the first or one of the first Mach Es at at C&O

stealth edit: C&O is usually the first Saturday, but in April it's pushed back a week. I'm scheduled to get my car the last week of March, so fingers crossed

Sounds like fun, if I do go to a meet this would be by first ever.

I belong to the Mustang Club of America and the issue of car shows and what classification has come up. First of all, there are members there who really resent our cars and us joining their organization. The club has endorsed our cars (sort of) so now we're "allowed" to join MCOA. The question of what category to place our cars has also come up and they tried to answer that but I'm still not sure of their answer. Then there was a question of my local branch of MCOA which is in Bourbonais IL. They are having a Mustang Show in August and I messaged the president of this group about joining it and also showing my car. He replied that if I join their chapter I cannot show the car in the August Show??!! I guess their reasoning is this might be construed to others as favoritism, etc., and they don't want that. He told me to come in August as all Mustangs are welcome and I'd be able to show my car. I still don't know what I'll do but I'm leaning on going. I really DO hope that my dealer in taking off the license plate bracket on my order will prevent the factory in mounting it but I won't really know for 4 or 5 months.

Mike, I bet you talked with Roger the president from MCOA. We have been friends for many years, doing car shows together. I never joined the club for that reason, club members can't show their cars. But in reality they do. All club members park or display their cars by the driveway into the park. The club members don't have their cars judged. Its a great show! Gary

Spot on Gary! I didn't actually talk with Roger but I emailed him. If I do decide to show it, what sort of categories do they judge? It's a brand new car so no restoration has obviously taken place. With my 2002 Thunderbird people in the crowd (usually at a dealer so people visiting dealer) voted. I, of course, had an advantage because my car was Torch Red! ? This time I'd be showing an Infinite Blue Metallic with Space Grey interior. Are you going? Are you showing your restored Mustang or the Mach E if you go? Do the members of the MCOA vote? I am a member of national MCOA but not Illinois chapter.?

I belong to way too many antique and British car clubs. A Mustang club for me would be like joining a Mazda club for my CX-5. Don't need them anymore than they need or want me.

Seriously, why cause angst? We have more in common with ID4 and Tesla 3 than Mustangs.
