Everything is slow when you’re comparing to the fastest times posted on Teslarati ?. Tons of YPs not running those numbers.
I don't think it's just Model YP, not after 70 mph. Comparing with a few random sports cars:

70-100 mph:

4.6 sec - 2011 Mustang GT (MotorTrend)
4.7 sec - 2011 BMW M3 Coupe (MotorTrend)
4.3 sec - 2016 Chevy Camaro SS 1LE (MotorTrend)
5.4 sec - 2021 Mustang Mach-E (harrysiii)
6.7 sec - 2021 Mustang Mach-E (harrysiii)

7.8 sec - 1998 Lexus LS400 (MotorTrend)

None of these ICE models are supercars, they're all old, and they're significantly slower than the Mach-E from 0-60. But they are way faster than the Mach-E GTPE from 70-100 (well, all except one of them ;)). Harry only gets within shouting distance (5.4 seconds) of the ICE sports cars when he starts at 70 mph and accelerates from there. Starting from 0 mph, the GTPE's 70-100 is much closer to my ancient Lexus!

It appears to me that the Mach-E GTs are pretty quick up to 60 or 70, and pretty slow after that.

We’re just typing in circles at this point, right? It’s slowing up considerably and needs a fix, we all agree on that. Some say slow after 60, I say slowing after 80ish, whatever.

But I’ll say this one more time from the cheap seats: @harrysiii ran a 7.79@88mph 1/8th mile which means it is not just laying down at 60mph. Should/could it be 90-91 instead of 88? Maybe so. But those who keep pointing to the Y Perf running 92-93 1/8ths are just waving away the 500ish lb weight advantage it has. It’s probably always going to enjoy the mph advantage because physics. Fix or not.

I have a dragy and every aspect 0-100 and in between as I measure each run in 10 mph increments to see 50-70 / 70-100 etc.

MYP has the times as such:

70-100
4.35
4.36
4.38
4.46

SO faster then everything on the list and dead even with the SS

and while only 2 seconds (Harry does 6.69) doesn’t seem like a lot. The 867 ft to do it vs the 565 feet for the MYP is pretty bad.

Pretty much. But I was relieved to see harrysiii's better performance when starting at or near 70mph. And I'd like to see more results on the regular GT - I hope it is not much slower than the PE at higher speeds. My GT is scheduled to arrive next month, and I'm not optimistic that I'll see any detailed professional reviews before I need to buy or pass.

I guess. But, if your yardstick is the absolute quickest times run without any explanation as to what the test conditions were (road slope, 2-way averaged or not etc.) you’re just beating yourself up. See below for literally the fastest 0-130mph Y Performance posted to the Dragy leaderboards, and I selected “History” so it’s not just this month or recent. Also notice the altitude. Mile Hile + in Colorado baby! That DA is absolutely killer for us ICE guys but all the it’s doing for this Y is less aero drag at high speeds due to the thin air. And he’s even running an 18” wheel/tire combo that’s only 39 lbs total/corner. Super lightweight. And his 0-100 was only an 8.7, so yeah, I’m calling out that Teslarati 8.15-8.20 time. It’s an outlier for a reason(s), we just don’t know which reason(s).

I do appreciate the context. I make no claims to be an expert on the MYP. Teslarati was just the only thing that came up when googling 50-70 times for the MYP.

I doubt there is going to be any difference between the GT and GTPE at higher speeds, the GTPE has the extra boost of torque but as they both have the same hp, that torque increase is really only going to impact the 0-60 range.

probably more like the 0-30 range, if i had to guess, as well as the obvious gap in +60 accel.

Do we have any comparison numbers between the 4x and the GT from 60-100?

I have a GTPE on order, but if it isn't significantly faster than than a 4x at freeway passing speed, then I may have to change my order and save 10k-15k.

I have a MY LR with boost, and am quite happy with the passing power. Didn't get a other Tesla because life is too short to have a car with a same interior. Its a great car, but wanted something different.

Keep in mind these are preliminary numbers……..

But 60-100 is pretty easy to figure since we have the 0-60 and some 1/4 mile numbers.

4x 0-60 is about 5 seconds and it hits 100 in about 13.

So roughly 8 seconds 60-100.

GT is 4 seconds to 60 and 12 to 100.

So roughly 8 seconds 60-100.

Thus the 100+ pages of discussion and disappointment.

An extra 140hp SHOULD make the GT significantly faster 60-100.

Maybe someone can find a dyno to goto? That could give insight into what is happening.... Even if it looks normal for EV and doesn't it'd be new thing to discuss on the topic... Haha.

Yep.

CD 4X testing: 0-60: 4.9 0-100: 12.7 = 7.8

Motor Trend 0-60: 4.8 0-100: 12.4 = 7.6

GTs: 0-60: 3.6-3.7 0-100: 12.2-12.5 = 8.6-8.9.

??‍♂ Oops.
