See my post about our Thunderbirds; no, I’m not used to this treatment by Ford and one would think they WOULD have showings in the Midwest too!
Get over it. They bypassed much of the geography of the country in favor of the population centers where most of the customers are. Imagine that.

I guess the cold hard truth is that Ford has decided that folks in "fly over" country are out of luck and they don't deserve to attend these events. They must have looked at the sales numbers and decided just the coasts are eligible to see the new Mustang.

I think this really stinks!🤬
That's why I was surprised to see CO, UT, NV show up on the list, since we're fly-over country too.

I've gotta say, you are taking this awfully personally all things considered. 2 Cars were at the Chicago auto show (they rerouted the one that was to be in Philly so Chicago could have 2). There were other auto shows in the midwest before Covid cancelled NYC and others. So one might say you actually had an opportunity to see it 8 months before this road show.
I wasn't "in" on this car back then. I really just learned about it a few months ago. Had I been in the "know" (like most on the site), I would have gone to see the one they had in Chicago. It begs the question as to why the midwest or for that matter other places in the country can't have these current expos of the cars. Yes, I suppose I do take it personally but I shouldn't. Things can't be like they were in the past but that's a shame because Ford does know how to play fair. 😒

Lucky you! I'm glad they decided to show the car in your neck of the woods! 😊

They skipped their own hometown. They aren't out to screw you or anyone else. They don't have an unlimited supply of cars, and as mentioned they went for the highest concentrations of customers with the limited resources they had. I live within a 90 minute drive of more than 20 million people, and 11 months after placing my reservation I actually saw it (but no ride). Had you decided to buy a Mach E six months earlier and been to Chicago, the second car was actually giving rides.

Like I said, six months earlier I wasn't "in the know" about the car (believe me, had I known then what I know now you bet I would have gone to see it at the Auto Show). Yes, I think they're short changing those of us who don't live on the coasts. Sorry, but that's the way I (and probably others) on this site feel. Believe me, Ford has the resources to do more shows. I suppose it really doesn't matter now though because the car is coming to dealers soon and I'll be able actually see and sit in one myself. My dealer hopes to finally get one in January.

You're not alone in not being able to see this car right now. This is nothing new. The odds are almost 100% you will have the chance to see the car and test drive it before your vehicle comes. Some of us (including myself) will be doing our test drives when our orders are delivered --in the spring of 2021 --in those cars. We will never have seen the car in person before that time.

There are limited assets and those are allocated to where the majority of customers are.

I feel your pain!! I will see the first one in January (I hope-the dealer thinks he is getting a demo then) otherwise I'd be like you and see the car for the first time when I took delivery.

Yes, there are limited assets and that's why Ford could have spread all these current shows out equitably across the country.

The two guys who have been dong the road show in SoCal are the ones going to Utah, Nevada, and CO. They told me that on Saturday.

These guys are probably contractors not Ford employees? In any event, I am mildly shocked at how well they have held up. I would be so over it if I had to give the same pressIo and answer the same questions day after day. But they were energetic and engaged even after weeks of doing this.

I'm not sure how many crews they have doing these, but it's just a handful. They're doing traveling tours, a day at a time at various dealerships. Presumably the best bang for their buck was to hits the coasts where there's more population and closer distances from each other (and where there tends to be a higher share of EV interest). I'm guessing the crew & car(s) that we're getting in CO is the one that recently made it's way up the west coast and was just in Washington state last week. Really surprised they decided to send a crew inland. We got lucky.

Maybe a crew they have on the east cost will work their way inward too, although time is running out. Not much reason to do them anymore once the demos hit dealerships, probably starting late December.

What color are the cars that they have?
