If you haven't heard yet, California EV purchases just got a boost. Now the rebates can total as much as $14K.

The article is wrong. The SCE $1000 or PG&E $800 cannot stack with the new $1500 Clean Fuel Reward. Both SCE website and PG&E website are explicit about this. There is an existing thread specifically for this topic already at https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...y-for-extra-1500-off-at-purchase-for-ev.2040/

Additionally, it seems like a non-trivial number of California buyers on this forum do not qualify for CVRP, let alone CVRP low income.

So, overall
* 1500 CCFR (clean fuel reward) for everyone
* 7500 fed tax credit for most
* 2000 CVRP (clean vehicle rebate) for some
* 2500 CVRP low income for few

I didn't check the exact numbers. But I suspect getting fed tax credit and CVRP low income at the same time is either impossible (assuming same income over two adjacent years) or requires falling in a very narrow band of income range.

Agree that it’s very difficult for some one to qualify for all rebates. And the new reward program is a replacement for the rebate program.
