I‘m sure others will benefit from your homework. I’ll say again that if you are in Michigan, and get your juice from Consumers Energy, sign up for their program to reimburse you up to $500 for your charge station purchase!! Any other utility suppliers out there across the US doing this?

I love my Emporia. It just works and handles info gathering without me needing to involve home assistiant like I had to with the Tesla Wall Connector.

You should always check with utility providers. Most of them across the country have pretty sizeable discounts on at least one or two options

I was able to get a chargepoint home flex and then submit for a rebate of $500 from my utility and then also claim the federal tax credit (not sure if it still exists) and it was essentially free after that.

A year later I was able to buy another chargepoint through their marketplace at a similar discount (still haven’t installed because I realized I don’t really need a second charger at home)

Snohomish PUD (Snohomish County, WA) has a $200 rebate on just about any charger.

My utility (PSE) doesn't offer a rebate on Emporia, which I installed last year, but they have a (very) few others on their list. They are rolling out a "Flex" program where you get a discount if they need to cut back your usage during periods of high utility utilization. That works with some autos and/or chargers (not Emporia). My friend just got a Kia EV6 and he can qualify for that program as they can control the Kia remotely. Ford will come later - presumably the issue is the API being closed to 3rd parties at this time. PSE also has low-income incentives.

DTE also has a similar program.

They have a LIST … the charger has to be on the list to qualify, but it is a $500 rebate if the model is on their list.
