Got the car tinted, coated and clear bra then went and got the new MRR GF6 20x9 +38 and 20x10.5 +45 wheels installed with Toyo Proxes 3 255/45 and 295/40 tires. I'm very happy with the looks, handing and ride improvements. Next is 1.5" drop and a couple of JL thin mount 13's in the rear.

Keep us posted on how much the wheels and tires affect your range.

You lost me a bit on some of that jargon, but that's ok. I'm interested in the ride improvements. Smoother on bumps than the stock tires?

Absolutely and handles better too but will probably rob about 20% of my range. Luckily it's just a DD for the wife for 20 miles each way to work and then out to dinner here and there.

Have you done this before and are basing that on past performance? Or are you super good at this math / physics stuff? I’d be really interested to see how this bears out. 20% is a pretty steep hit. Please do keep us posted.

I'll be interested in the MPK (mi/kWh) difference too, especially at 70-80 MPH.

Love that last pic too, comparing the new tires to the old.

When I switched to my 20"x8.5" with 245/45R20 tires, I lost less than 10%. That's going 70-80 for about 60 miles a day. My rims are fairly light, though, so results will vary.

I’m new to car stuff…this means you got the wider 295s in the back and the 255s in the front?

Nice. How much of a difference does it make in the 0-60? Have you measured?

Are you going to drop with a specific spring, or just have a shop cut down the stock springs?

The staggered wheels look great - it is a bold look, but hey, its a bold car. ;)
