Since Alex's car will be delivered in "mid to late December", he likely reserved and ordered his at the earliest dates possible. Far earlier than he was able to review the car.
Nope. He says in the video he got to see it a couple of weeks before the release.

Gotta draw the line on cost (thus price) somewhere. And weight. That huge battery pack is already costly and heavy.

Each extra feature is cool, but comes at a compromise.
Weight is probably the big driver. Especially since Ford appears to have spent more mass "budget" on sound dampening and build quality overall. I'm not at all bothered by either of those.

The way I read that is the software is $600 and the service fee isn't mentioned. I always presumed the "service fee" it is referring to is the wireless connectivity (needed for maps and traffic anyway). Maybe I am mistaken?
Memo paragraph right under Availability and Timing: "hands-free functionality and 3-years of service"

Press release, 4th paragraph under High Tech Priced Right:
"For example, early F-150 customers can purchase the prep package that includes the Active Drive Assist hardware and Active Park Assist 2.0 even more affordably for $895, which includes a $100 early adopter incentive. When Active Drive Assist is ready to launch with software updates, customers will then be able to purchase the software – plus a three-year service period – for $600 and receive it via Over-the-Air Update."

Some versions of the fob do. It seems the pre-production models didn't all have the same fob.

Key Fob - my '16 Edge and '17 Energi if you hold the unlock button it opens the windows, and if you hold the lock button, it closes the windows ( roof too ) , hope this is supported as well. Altho with phone as key, not sure if I'll carry a fob.

Interesting that Alex has heard that 60,000 Mach Es will be made in the first year.

Didn't we go over that number sometime before? ?
Yes but I don't recall it coming from outside the Forum before now.
So nice to have information ahead of the reviewers!?

I would wait until the production key is released because I have also seeing this one with both Front and rear buttons included..So I would think the Mach E will come with both? Still you can do it all from your phone too.

My 2011 mkx has both, I doubt the cost will be even $50 more combine. MME is not cheap, these should come as standard
