I've been having a few rather lively conversations with my MME the last couple of days regarding two issues - no wireless CarPlay (a long time problem) and, most recently, no PAAK! She had been behaving like a new colt since I had the SSM 49676 update, but these two items were not cooperating.
After multiple deletions and restarts of phone, apps and settings on the car I was at my wit's end. Then, for some reason, I started looking deep into my settings on the phone. I first went into CarPlay's subsettings - Bluetooth was OFF!!! Then I went to the FordPass app. Bluetooth was off there also!!!! With a flick of a few buttons on the phone and five minutes reconnecting the car and phone everything was working like it should!!! It just took pointing my finger in a different direction (not at the car)!!

The moral - it there is one - Sometimes its a good idea to check both ends of the problem (in this case, the phone settings.) I know I didn't turn bluetooth off intentionally but ?? or perhaps recent updates to IOS triggered it. At any rate - perhaps this will be of help and serve as a reminder to we on the bleeding edge of technology- carry extra bandaids!

So this is a case study in why it is so painful to read the constant complaints pointing fingers at Ford and Ford alone for PaaK/CarPlay/AA issues. The number of possible combinations of phones, phone OS versions, settings configurations, etc is mind boggling. There is no conceivable way that Ford or any other entity could possibly test every combination to ensure they all worked flawlessly. The car wouldn't have been released till 2025 if they tried to test them all. Don't even get me started on the DCFC complaints. ??

My A/A was also only working plugged in to usb connection. Amazingly I turned the buttons on in the app and somehow it suddenly started working. Pass the band aids please.
