I purchased a RWD 1st edition ID.4 in May off of a dealers lot. Since then I’ve driven almost 27,000 miles and outside of the software quirks and (in my opinion) excessive tire wear, it has been a great car.
Part of my territory includes some pretty nasty snow belt regions so I always intended to get an AWD EV at some point.
In August I ordered an AWD ID.4 Pro S Statement (Gradient pkg) AND a Mustang Mach-E AWD Premium ER.
Last week VW informed me that my AWD ID.4 has been built and will be shipped shortly. I presume it is a 2021.
This week Ford informed me that my MME is due to be built in January as a 2022 model. Ford also indicated that they would be applying an incentive to make sure the 2022 is the same price as the 2021 I ordered. On top of this the MSRP on the MME has increased by $1000 for units ordered 12/4 or later, so in effect I would be buying an early build 2022 for $2000 less than everyone could order the same unit for.
I think I would be dumb not to do the MME. What does everyone else think?
If I decide to go with the ID.4 I know where a 2022 Ice Blue Silver Premium AWD ER Mach - E will be available shortly. LOL
