I ordered my GT over a year before I got it - I saw a thread like this where people were talking about not having the front camera /blue cruise - I had a small moment of panic until I checked and saw that I had blue cruise included in my order. I could see how people could miss it. But it would have shown on the window sticker at the dealer - but it doesn't show a negative (i.e., not included.) I think people assume that because the GT is an upgrade in some ways - that it includes all of the "goodies." Unfortunately not so. They are trying to give people the option of keeping the costs down. The used car market is hot right now - (I had a FE that I traded in on the GT and got full price - had a quote from CarMax to show the dealer.) So if you really want it - you could always order a new one or look for a GT with the option.

Speaking of the used car market, the dealer is asking MSRP for my used FE. If they sell it for that, the new owner will pay what I did for new, and not get the tax rebate.

I should point out that I specifically did not order Co-Pilot 360/Active 2.0 on my car because of the mandatory inclusion of another option that I did not want. I *would have* ordered it because I wanted it. I wanted the glass roof to be not on my car more than I wanted Co-Pilot 360/Active 2.0. ??

I am glad I don't have the glass roof. I think the climate control does not need to work as hard. I am amazed how long the interior stays warm on a 30 degree day.

I did not order the car. I picked it up as a cancelled order, the whole deal from start to finish was done in a few hour timespan. I did not have much opportunity to read the menu!!! ?
Could be worse - you could have bought a Volvo XC-90 thinking it had the self-parking feature. And then trying to show it off to friends....and then going to the dealership to find out what was going on....and then being told it's only on the next trim level up :)

Almost changed my last name to "Dumass"

The Volvo sales guy demonstrated self-parking in the XC-60 to my wife and me. It was nothing to show off. Took forever and didn't do a very good job of centering in the space. I haven't tried it on my MME yet to see if it's any better.

We have it on our XT5 and I only used it once to test it. It is slow and I find it easier to just park myself. We really wanted it to make parallel parking easier for my wife but she has not ever used it either. It is an overrated feature IMO.

You didn't have the opportunity to see what options were included with the car before spending $63k on it? Well, the good news is that you can order exactly what you want now and drive the one you have until it comes in. You'll likely be able to sell or trade it for a profit, particularly after the tax credit.

Yep, Vroom and Carmax have been giving out truly crazy appraisals. I paid 49,500 out the door for my select and sold it for 49,000 when my premium order came in…but still get the tax credit. Carmax doesn’t have a single GT available in the whole country right now so you might get a whopper of an offer if you try.

Also, it’s really easy to mix up the Co-Pilot assist 2.0 with Co-Pilot active 2.0. Ford really shouldn’t have named those so similarly.

Nope you don't. Pano was independent of the bluecruise for 21 and was only bundled with the 2.0 package that included the 360 cam.
Except on the GT-PE, where you had to get Pano if you wanted Co-Pilot 360/Active 2.0. ??

Yeah, it even confuses some of the long-time forum members sometimes. ??

The car probably does not include Co-Pilot 360/Active 2.0 so it doesn’t have the front camera, the mirror cameras, or the eye sensor. My GT-PE doesn’t have these things. ?
Oh yes, no eye sensor, you are correct. So, I have to keep my hands on the wheel and my eyes on the road? How old fashioned! ?

I too made this mistake. Traded my FE in for a GT from another state. FE had 360 cameras, GT has only back camera working.

I didn't see the car in person before I bought it, but it is my fault for assuming it would be there. I'm not blaming Ford, was my fault. Lesson learned.

However, I think Ford and other auto makers are missing out on an opportunity for customers buying options after buying the vehicle.

My wife's car has cameras everywhere, we have 360 parking and other features. We do not have adaptive cruise control. It's an option, one we couldn't add. Bought it used with 76 miles on it. A Youtuber I follow on Defenders, edited the software to make it work. After he does do, the button changes for adaptive. He clearly shows things can be upgraded, via software.

Why doesn't Land Rover just have an option to add this via software? I'd pay for it. Either by going to dealership or OTA. The hardware is there obviously. With so many people buying used cars, we don't always get to pick exactly what we want.

I have cameras under the side mirrors and on the back on my GT. Just not the front. Would it be cost effective to produce all vehicles with the cameras and only enable them if it's an option paid for at new. Then after buying used, people pay for the upgrade to 360 camera or anything else.

I believe this could be more used in the future with so many cars relying on software.
