While on a walk, my wife and spotted a new car on our street. I'll try to get the story, but we have a new Polestar on my street! Plus, I've seen another silver GT PE a couple of times now.

There is a guy down the street who has a complete frame up restore of a 1968 Shelby GT500. He won't trade cars unfortunately. It's likely worth $400K or more and is just stunning.

Even if it is a rental, let’s hope they’re trying out the EV lifestyle to make a purchase! There are so many good choices on the market or coming soon that I think we’re at the cusp of the next stage of wider adoption. It still won’t be full bore John Q. Public purchases, but we’re getting there. The Polestar is nice. The Cadillac Lyriq has me in its sights. The Fisker Ocean looks fantastic. If Apple ever does drop a car, I might be first in line. Looking forward to the future, because after the MME, I’m completely spoiled on electric. I just have zero desire to go back to ICE. None.

Totally off-topic but I took a test drive in the new Mercedes EQS today. The salesman preconditioned the internal cabin environment by turning on the aromatherapy to Sandalwood and my driver seat gave me a hot stone massage. The seats have the speakers emded in them and sensor around and lighting adapted to the stereo when you curve the seats curve with you so you don’t even feel like the car is turning you always remain in an upright position If you’re going up the big hill the seats rise incrementally raises to give you a better view at the crest. Lowers at the top. The cameras search around the roads and spotlight vehicles ahead of you. The salesman said they’re planning in a couple of years of having a trunk launch drone that can do advanced GPS in front of the vehicle up to 3 miles showing you actual roadside emergency’s slow downs and conditions before you actually get there. It can takeoff and land up to 30 miles an hour from the trunk and they’re testing it now in Germany

The car is off the charts technically fantastic I’m not so sure I like the look of it but it certainly is stunning in many ways although I would like to see more curves and less jellybean.

Electric cars are still pretty rare here, but when I do see one 90% of the time it's a Tesla. I don't like Teslas, I'd rather see people discover other brands of EVs so we can have variety. Seeing the same five Tesla colors over and over gets boring.

I passed another Mach e leaving my neighborhood a couple days ago. Not sure if they live in the neighborhood or were just visiting.

The passenger waved very enthusiastically as we passed.

I know there are two Teslas and two Leafs in the neighborhood but the vast, vast, vast, majority are ICE cars. Out of 384 homes there are 6 electric cars in 5 households. Just barely 1% of the homes have an EV.

Right now I'm watching the BMW iX xdrive50, Mercedes EQS SUV, Genesis GV60, Ford Lightning of course (have a reservation). No plans to go back to ICE except for our current F150 unless we can fit a gooseneck hitch to the Lightning, then ICE F150 may go away
