Having put the Dead LVB followed by a bad PDU story to bed (knock on wood), it was time for a quick shake down and charging test. Saturday I put 60 trouble-free miles on Marlin, including a drive to the far end of the Country and back. FYI Lane centering doesn’t work as well when it’s raining.

I also did a partial charging session at the Columbia, MD EA station. Charging on my account worked, Plug & Charge failed. Multiple tries, 2 machines, both cables. It also didn’t go over about 75 kW the whole, time. Mind you I started right around 50% but at least we got it to work. Back to home and packed for departure Sunday morning.
Glad you got Marlin back and things seem much better. Good luck on your trip. Let us know how it is going!

Good luck and best wishes for the trip. Looks like Marlin is ready, very good news indeed.

Glad all seems good at last. Have a safe, uneventful and good road trip. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you and also for me. Hopefully my ship leaves today

I also find the lane centering more distracting than helpful so far. What is nice is the adaptive cruise control. It slowing down for you as you come up on someone and then speeds back up when congestion disappears is nice. Heads up thou it does not work all the time. On the highway (2 way) twice now a vehicle ahead has put their left signal and brakes on and the adaptive cruise does not react even remotely fast enough and intervention is required. You give it a chance which is a bit too much playing around but it is not quick enough for me. The first time it was the brake petal the second cancel button. It is funny both times after I toke over and just after I got past past the vehicle that went left it flashed a big red box in the dash crash protection assistant or something like that; guess it gave me a name? Works nice if you catch up to someone driving slower but has limitations. Welcome addition to the tool box and if it does slow you down most of the time it is a good safety feature and less stress on the drive.

Good news on this is if you initiate the session with the EA rate you do get the Pass+ rate. Confirmed that I’m yesterday’s test. Yes they need to fix that in P&C.

Good luck! It will be interesting to hear what you have to say for me personally. My younger daughter lives in Palm City and we drive down (well, my wife does lately) several times a year but with our Acura MDX. It takes us 2 days with overnight in Atlanta usually. The total is about 20 hours if we drive non-stop with no overnight stay (which we've done twice). I'll be interested to see how long it takes you considering we live in different places (Illinois vs Maryland). Our fuel/restroom stops average about 15-20 minutes and eating about 30-40 minutes. I've always said an ICE car for long trips and I'm too new to BEV to even try this now but who knows: maybe in the future??

First stop Emporia, VA (Walmart EA). P&C failed again but charging on a 350kW charger. Used EA app and Pass + pricing. Looks like standard EA curve similar to Bjorn’s. FordPass route planning worked better than ABRP, which didn’t even like being forced to use this EA. ICC all the way here with a quick pit stop at a rest area. Rain through Richmond but ICC worked well. Average speed 69 mph, average mid 40 degrees, 2.5 mi/kWh.

Are you trying multiple stations at EA? The first one I used on Friday didn't work and I had to move to an adjacent one which worked as it should've. It did show as a charge while it was working, then I got a credit back and my account was deducted from the 250.

How does EA know that you are a FordPass member in order to give you the discounted pricing?

So did you take it down to 10% before charging? And do I guess correctly that means 190-200 miles on this leg for AWD at highway speed?
