Nice interview. Though don’t agree with Tesla exiting the EV market would be a good thing. Like if segment leader Mercedes suddenly stopped building luxury cars. Consumers in the segment would be worse off for it.
I said that as a compliment to Tesla for setting up the market and being the leader in the technology, and as a knock for building cars that are easily bested in quality by others who've got more experience.

To pair the best of each stabilizes an emerging market.

The model is Lycoming building engines for dozens of car makers in the early days of the automobile.
