NACS Adapter Ship Date of September 2024 Delayed to January 2025 (Update: This Was An Error by Ford)

Mine was showing ship out September till yesterday. Now I’m at January. Wild. With all the great news of more adapters being made I was not expecting this at all.

Tesla obviously can’t make the 100k + for Ford in a reasonable time and however may or Rivian and GM.

Is this the first time your date has changed or no? My initial reaction is that yours may have not updated a while back when everyone else that was June/July got pushed to August/September. So now they're catching up with the delays, as it may be.

No. I was originally August moved to September.

Wow, I was probably going to be in the next batch with order 18204 and it now shows estimated ship of Jan. 2025. I guess they're now skipping us and going to Rivian and GM.

They have more than just Ford (and Mach-E) owners to worry about.

You have Rivian, GM, and Kia (soon, which also means Hyundai/Genesis in all reality).

Ford was always going to have to revise September estimates again. Tesla tweeted in late August that they had reached a production capacity of 8000 adapters per week. Meanwhile, my reservation number was in the low 8000s and my original May estimate had been pushed back to June, then July, and finally to September. I did finally get it in September, but it's a long way from 8000 to 37,500 when that 8K units/wk is also serving Rivian and potentially GM and others.

My guess was 25,000 by end of October, maybe 30,000 at best. Guess I was high...

This is the 4th time its been pushed back for me, order #14820. Honestly, I don’t care when I get it anymore. January will be 11 months since the reservation. Nearly an entire year.

Okay, THIS one is disappointing. This means Ford doesn't even expect to get more than 10,000 units out in the four months of September thru December?!

it's wild because I picked up my car 11 days ago and requested mine while sitting in the car with the salesman. I just now checked mine and it still shows "November, 2024". I'm guessing I'll be well into Mar, Apr, or May?
