Yes this post is completely selfish...I'm owning that.

I am with JamieGeek! Don't mind those that want to hold off as I am also hoping to get our Infinite Blue CA Rt 1 a bump up in line! Also hoping that, due to what seems to be much lower numbers of CA Rt 1's being ordered, that Ford just decides to make them all in one batch all at once at the start to get them out of the way so they can concentrate on Premiums and then GT's.

I have no insider info here, but still have a feeling Ford is making sure they are under promising and will be over expectations with the deliveries. It is much better to deal with happy customers than disappointed customers.

With a Sept 28th start, they could do the about 2,000 NA demos in a couple of weeks, say Oct 12.

The run of NA First Editions may not be much over 1,200 or about 10 days, til say Oct 23.

Now they still have 8 weeks until the Christmas week shutdown, and should be up to the 1,300 per week production --- about 10,000 cars which would be the entire remainder of NA Mach-E sales.

I like to be optimistic.

Last week I emailed my dealership asking if any FE reservations have canceled, and if so, I’d like to snag one. CRICKETS. Nada.

On a side note, weird that my reservation date was a day after yours, yet my reservation number is about 2K less than yours (13,425)

Not weird at all. There were 3-4 servers using separate reservation numbers 1000 apart. The night of the release numbers were simultaneously using 4000, 5000, 6000, and 7000-series numbers.

And, as I recall, the reservation numbers escalated into the 80,000 before conversions opened up as well. Considering there's 50,000 to be built ... the numbers don't add up.

Fortunately, somewhere at Ford is someone who understands the numbering system. (I think. )
